We needed an affordable, no-frills place to stay during our short visit to the Murphy / Lake Hiwassee area. This motel fit the bill and we were very satisfied. It was clean, the staff was helpful and friendly and we enjoyed the cute retro decor, especially the yard flamingos planted outside each room! Receiving a nice fruit/goodies basket during our stay was a nice surprise and much appreciated.

This is a lovely, unpretentious motel located in Murphy. Easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean. It is about a 10-12 minute drive to the John C Campbell Folk School and easy driving to various trails and scenic spots.

Loved the charm of this little motel. It had that mid-century modern feel. The location was close to many restaurants in the downtown area. It was a quiet and comfortable room. If you're looking for something different from a chain hotel, this is a great, affordable option in Murphy.
