We traveled to the area with friends who had booked at a different hotel just down the street from Il Vecchio Fauno. We stayed here (there was no vacancy at the hotel where our friends were), and were pleased with the experience. Our room was spacious, had a lovely balcony to sit on and look out over a boulevard, and the bed was comfortable. It is located an easily walkable distance from the ruins, and there are lots of shops and cafes to choose from. The check-in was a bit different than what I'm used to (it's a self check-in system), and the owners were very patient with my questions and provided excellent directions as to how to access the property. We absolutely would stay here again.

Amazing location

This place is great for a quick visit to Pompeii! The location is unbeatable with the ruins right across the street. The air conditioning was great too. Only complaint was that the beds are very hard. Otherwise, great stay!

We loved Kiara's service. She is magnificent. Besides being a great host, she has a beautiful dog called Monet. I believe her dog is her inspiration for the great paintings she has all around the property. The property is so convenient because is just like 50 meters from one of the entrances to Pompeii.

I had great time at 11 Vecchio Fauno. It's located across from Scavia Pompeii. The Church and square is within walking distance, There are many chooses for restaurants close by. I would highly recommend this hotel. Wanted to see Mnt. Vesuvius but it was raining.

Convenient and good value

We had a very nice stay. The customer service is really good. We really appreciated all the recommendations given to us. Some amazing art through the place. Location is great, close to ruins and city center. Very clean, bed on a harder side and very small shower. Not suitable for noise sensitive people as you might get woken up to some barking. We didn't mind as the dogs were super cute 😉 Would definitely stay again if I was in Pompei.

Great location and friendly helpful people

The room was lovely and clean. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful. Great location close to the tourist area and entrance to the ruins, but also close enough to the town itself where the food & drink is cheaper. I would have preferred a fridge in the room, but we only stayed one night so it wasn’t an issue.

Perfect start to my Italian adventure

Location was outstanding - 1-2 mins walk to the Pompeii ruins entrance. And the owner was outstanding - really kind and helpful. Gave me a map when I checked it and recommendations for places to eat and go and made me feel at home. Will defiantly come and stay here again if and when I am back in Pompei.
