The hotel is a little worn but the family who built and own it are lovely people and so very helpful. It is spotlessly clean and the breakfast was more than adequate. The location is absolutely ideal for the Pompeii ruins, the trains to Naples, Herculaneum and Sorrento. We had a wonderful 5 nights here!

The breakfast was great - lots of gf options. Location was as excellent. It was just a short walk to Pompeii Archeology site and lots of restaurants. The staff were welcoming and friendly. They struggled with English but we managed. Everything was super clean.

Lovely stay in Pompeii

We stayed for two nights whilst visiting ancient Pompeii. We had a very enjoyable stay. We found the staff very friendly, and the rooms clean and tidy. We would stay again.

Hotel is a hidden gem , my 2nd year visiting this hotel , i think personally location is fab , 5mins walk from train station to Naples or Sorrento , Swimming pool was under maintenance but again last year i used the pool an its lovely .. My advice would be take a travel kettle with you / hair dryer etc as these arnt provided also no fridge in room , other than that absolutely enjoyed my stay .

Fantastic Hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Staff are fantastic and very helpful. Hotel is around a 3 minute walk from the train station, the archaeological park and local restaurants You can also catch the bus to Vesuvius across the road from the station. Good breakfast, clean rooms and a large bathroom. Swimming pool is large and clean. We loved our stay!

We loved the unique pool at this hotel. It was very conveniently located next to the Pompei ruins, and a good walking distance from the city. The downside to this hotel was the bed - extremely hard and uncomfortable.

The hotel is nice enough, but could use a little TLC. Lovely pool area was a welcome highlight after a hot day at Pompeii. Breakfast was fine, although a little lacking in variety. The coffee, however, was outstanding! Our room had a balcony with a drying rack — ideal both for bathing suits and a little bit of laundry.. The only complaints were the AC — it works well enough, but temperature and fan speed , could not be adjusted and the shower. Be prepared for an older European-style hand-held shower in the bathtub. Pretty tough to stand in, especially without soaking the entire room. The shower certainly did work, but was a bit awkward for North Americans unaccustomed to such a setup. You’re hard pressed to find a closer hotel for Pompeii. During our visit, the line at the nearby secondary entrance was quite manageable (we had a specific entry at 9:00 AM), and the site was not too busy for the first hour or so. On the way out, visit the ancient Villa dei Misteri, and you’ll only be a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Excellent Stay

Staff was very kind, flexible, and accomodating. Made fresh breakfast for us in the morning despite us traveling at 6 AM, had the room ready for us when we came prior to checkin time, and upgraded our room for free. Really this is a hotel that goes out of their way may God bless the staff of this hotel for the kindness they showed my family and I.

Hotel itself was great! Breakfast offerings were outstanding. The restaurant in front of hotel no longer wasn’t a big bummer. Our choice to stay was perfect to allow us to walk down to Pompei archaeological site entrance. The shops,market and food courts across from archaeological site was very convenient.

Perfect Location, Awesome Staff!

Hotel Villa dei Misteri is a great value, the location is ideal, and the staff is wonderful! Domenico, the manager, went out of his way to help us after I made an unfortunate error in my planning. The hotel is like a large motel, with a beautiful, very Roman-looking pool. The setting is quite pleasant. From there, it's only a short walk to both the ruins of Pompei and the Pompei Scavi train station. All in all, we found the hotel very comfortable, were very pleased with our stay there, and would not hesitate to go back!

Room was outside one which was economy room, bathroom wasn't nice I like a nice shower tray and it was 1970s style terracotta style tiled on floor with drain middle, so didn't rate that much. There was Aircon in the bedroom but nothing in bathroom, it was cold after few rain showers. No TV in bedroom. Only 3 socketsin whole place, none near beds so charging phones but could not use them at same time. Breakfast was continental buffet and ok, basis, the rolls weren't great, only one meat and one cheese choice. Hot tea and coffee . In the evening the bar wasn't great, no rum, beer and lager was cancelled out of fridge with a plastic cup, really not a great bar for a hotel. They pool would be open later in season and is a bonus not found in other hotels in the area. Really close to train station and entrance to Pompeii ruins, but is uphill walk. All in all basic and bit tired.

Central to train station and Pompeii tours. Nice pool. Hotel seems to have not changed since the 1960s. Clean but basic. Not Even a glass in the room! Next to the railway line. Internet so weak that We could not Even download a paper or Get streaming services. Only place with working internet was at the pool. Also no restaurants nearby. Takes 30 min to walk to village Square here there Are some nice eating places.

Short walk from Pompeii. Lovely swimming pool and areas to relax around the pool. Very basic rooms with extensive updating required throughout hotel. Hard beds and poor air conditioning. Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurants grouped outside of hotel to the right past train station. We found the restaurants close early evening as they cater for tourists to Pompeii during the day. Limited close supermarkets options but few mins walk to train platform with regular trains into Naples or in the opposite direction to Sorrento.

Location!

What a great location! So close to the Pompei ruins entry and the train station. The restaurants near the train are open a wide range of hours and the food was great. The hotel is an older style but matches the photos. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was immacutely clean and the room was spacious. Had free parking on site. Breakfast was a wide variety of options and proper coffee! Couple of little downsides were not many powerpoints in the room and the shower over bath wasn't very long. Would definitely stay again
