The check-in process worked seamlessly without any tech issues. It's a bit disconnecting to stay at hotel without any people contact, but no complaints. Room was spacious, very clean, and a comfortable bed. The main issue was the HVAC which was very noisy and did not do a good job of keeping us comfortable with the temperature

On October 11, 2025, after a six-hour drive, I arrived at the Summit View Inn at approximately 3:30 p.m. When I entered the code in the keypad for my assigned room, Room #4, I found that it did not work. I phoned the number provided in the email, only to learn that the code would not work until 4:00 p.m., leaving me to sit in the parking lot for half an hour. Once inside the room, I discovered an issue with the layout. The bed closest to the bathroom was so close to the wall that it made it hard to negotiate the path to the bathroom, especially at night. According to information that I found online, “The dimensions and arrangement of rooms shall be such that there is a minimum of 3 feet (914 mm) between the sides and foot of the bed and any wall or any other fixed obstruction.” The lighting in the room was inadequate, making it hard to assess cleanliness—though it appeared reasonably clean. The plumbing during our one-day stay also started having issues. The room that we were assigned was located directly below a family with young children. Due to inadequate sound proofing, we endured listening to young children running back and forth for hours on end. The noise level was such that my friend considered speaking to the guests directly given that no onsite staff was available. In the future, these factors should be taken into consideration when assigning rooms, especially for adult guests seeking rest.

On a girls' motorcycle trip to Southern Oregon, we stopped in Mount Shasta and had the best stay at Summit View Inn! Plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance (5-10 mins), and the staff was super friendly. You'll receive a code for self-check in on the day of your arrival. The rooms are cozy, cute, and have lots of places to hang all your gear-- including bicycles, if that's your speed.

Spacious room, clean, big bathroom, bigger refrigerator, wall shelves, electric shoe dryer, …everything we need. It is close to every natural beauties in Mt Shasta area. We strongly recommend this place to stay. By the way, it would be better to have power outlet and USB charging station next to the dining table.

A water pipe burst just before we got there, so the manager gave us a deluxe room. It was roomy and very clean. Its close to the park forest trails. I would stay here again.

The beds were comfortable and the room was relatively clean. However, the property is run-down and in poor repair. Minimal supplies provided in the room, no conditioner or lotion, no hair dryers. Poor lighting.

Cool place for outdoor adventures with room equipped with ski and bike racks and hooks to hang stuff to dry, etc. Clear floors and bed. Bare bone. Easy check-in done through prior electronic registration and door code. Right in Shasta.
