"We arrived during a storm and a little flooding in the basement bathroom but easily cleaned up. We were also there during the 5.9 magnitude earthquake which shook the whole Bach. Frightening for the kids but felt safe. Roads closed due to slips and flooding so had to leave a day early to get back home via alternative routes. Locals were extremely helpful for updating roads to use and suggested stop overs for Saturday night. So, although the fishing rods never left the truck, a very memorable experience. The Bach was perfect for weathering the storm."
