We noticed some flies when we went into the room, but later we noticed a larger bug up above the bathroom mirror. Then there were 2 - then there were 4, not sure where they were coming from but we had to stand on a chair and kill them. Then noticed that instead of 2 flies there were 7 flies.....the bathtub had peeling porceline coming off the tub on the inside by the drain, and the spigot on the tub was falling off. Towels and linens were clean and bed was comfy.....

This property looked nice for its age and the parking lot and grounds were clean . Our room was clean as well, just a few cosmetic issues with the baseboard and tube area but nothing that really mattered. We would stay there again.for the price compared to the Hampton Inn across the street.

Checkin was easy and the attendant friendly. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I loved the down comforter! My only complaint is the electrical outlets and bedside lamps and outlets didn’t work.The outlets by the sink worked and there was a power strip for the tv/fridge/microwave and lamp which was across the room from the bed.

I was a bit concerned since the Surry Inn was not a "chain". I was looking for a clean, safe place to get a good night's sleep before I continued on my travels. Surry Inn was great and I will be staying there in the future.

Wanted a quiet room and was promised no one would be placed above me... wrong. Walls and ceilings paper thin, I was kept up all night. If you want to actually sleep go somewhere else. I paid for this awful experience and then had to drive the next day on zero sleep.

Very good for a last-minute booking for the North Wilkesboro Race.The place was clean ( except behind the bathroom doors right in that corner) The beds were comfortable with good pillows and the towels we high quality. Air conditioning worked well, and an 11:00 check out is the best!

they did not provide breakfast . that being said, the price left plenty of room to secure breakfast elsewhere. I would not change a thing about this location in Dobson,NC. We will return in the future when visiting the Shelton Vinyards

Good Small Town Value

It was pretty standard. Appreciated that everything i needed was short walking distance. The town shuts down at 8pm except for the gas station.
