Hotel is in a nice & central area. The area is walkable & very cute. Lots of restaurants & shops. Beautiful hotel. Clean with spacious rooms. Staff were very friendly. Had complimentary coffee, tea, hot cocoa every morning.

The AC kept turning off and the room was unbearably hot. There is no parking, and they do not tell you there is ONLY valet parking until you get there. Or that you can choose to risk being towed from the crackhead drug paraphrenia infested parking lot down a very steep hill behind them on the next block. You have to carry luggage from wherever you find parking because you cannot park in the front due to the 2 spots in front of the hotel being constantly blocked with ppl waiting on the single valet to take their car. In addition, there are no side entrances available to guests, they are metal key locked from inside and out. The room was nice and breathed old world charm with the fancy tiles mimicking the era it opened, but there were no rugs in the bathroom. In which caused EVERYTHING to be slick with the moisture and water runoff after we took a shower. It could be very dangerous for older clients and/or those with even minor handicaps or unsteady balance to manage. They also "provide" a $30 bottle of cheap looking wine and $7 apiece Pepsi Smart Water bottles in the room if you're looking to waste money on unnecessary frivolous items you forgot at the Sheets over the hill. It's like they were trying to be fancier than the location requires. Overall, I wouldn't return to this hotel when visiting our son at in Med School in the future. Nor would I recommend it to fellow parents. This would be a great venue for a wedding or dinner but not practical for hotel stays alone.

The facility was clean. We turned the heater on and set the smoke alarm off. The room filled with smoke. We had to switch to a new room and keep the heater off. I don't think they wanted the vents through the summer months. We paid $45 in parking fees for 2 nights - $100 hold on my credit card that should be returned within 7 days of check out when we paid for the room in its entirety 2 months prior. We went thinking the trip was paid for and just having unexpected charges were inconvenient.

The room was nice, the property was nice, but the air conditioning was a wall unit, and it was very loud. Also there was a coffee maker in the room but no coffee and no cups. Staff was helpful.
