Was affordable BUT the motel feels and looks a bit run down. In my room the flooring was all loose, parts of the molding missing from the doors, mismatched paint, paint on the curtains, bathroom was missing the part of the handle that latches the door shut, mattress was old and bedding was in poor condition.

My husband and I go to Montrose often for weekend getaways. We have been staying in Black Canyon Motel for the last approximate 10 visits. Each time we go we notice the motel getting worse. There is always a problem with the room. Sometimes the TV doesn’t work, we have had the refrigerator open and defrosted all over the floor, the breakfast is not good(when there is any). We will be finding a new place to stay when we go to visit Montrose in future.

TV didn’t work, front desk gal tried to fix, to no avail. Had no tv all evening. Hair dryer didn't work, gal installed new one, picked up the phone receiver to call front desk, no dial tone. Furniture was all marred & stained. Disgusting place. DON'T STAY HERE!

Was not clean there was cigarette ash in yhe bathroom. The room smelled like molde and there was no breakfast in the morning. Huge let down. I can see why its so cheap to stay there
