It is in a beautiful setting. The people who run it are very friendly. It’s a little quirky, in a fun sort of way, in that the toilet and bedroom is all in one, there are industrial metal stairs to get to the top suite, and it’s kind of a romantic setting.

Such an incredible stay at Flor de Bromelia! It's a family run hotel and everyone was super helpful and attentive. Breakfast was different each day and the views are amazing, and we even saw monkeys in the trees and round our cabin. It's 10 minutes to walk downhill to town and really easy to get a cheap taxi back. Nothing bad to say about this hotel, it was a wonderful stay and we'd love to return!

Although the hotel is meant to be rustic and it very much is, it is lacking in some areas. The bed could have been more comfortable. The bed linens need to be updated. A coffee maker was more necessary than the furnished refrigerator.

Here’s a sharper complaint: > This property is a family-run B&B, not a 4-star hotel. With only 6 rooms, the experience was far below what was advertised and what the Expedia/Google listings led us to expect. Our room had an extremely loud creaking floor, which made it feel cheap and poorly maintained. It may be acceptable for some travelers, but for the price, it was not worth it and definitely not the upscale stay we were looking for.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. It was a beautiful property with a great view. The room was exactly what we needed for a one night stay while in Monteverde. The gentleman that checked us in gave us a few dinner recommendations. We went to one of them and it was great! The breakfast was great. Very fresh food. The staff was very nice. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this to anyone.
