Very clean and simple room with a nice private balcony for our room. The property was beautifully landscaped with many varieties of trees and plants. It was a 5 minute walk down a steep hill to the main part of town. Excellent variety of options for the free breakfast, with fresh fruit, pancakes, eggs, and traditional Costa Rican food.

Overall, the hotel is quaint. The staff were phenomenal. The location is wonderful, bar and restaurants are worth sticking around for. I do recommend the hotel. The only drawback we had was in room 37 the beds felt like sleeping on lumpy floors. This could have been a situation where the beds were being updated and it was just a mattress topper on a box spring.

The wooden cabin style rooms, the staff, breakfast…everything stands out. Great pace to stay. They arrange and help all kinds of local tours and attractions! Although this hotel is a lower price point than hotels I had stayed at in Costa Rica in the past the service and facilities were excellent. However, the star of the hotel is Paco the resident doggy. Very friendly an greeted us when we returned from every outing. Also, contact the hotel in advance and they will arrange airport transportation and tours and excursions. Our favorites were horse back riding and the night anima tour.

Lovely place, great staff and good location. Only reason why lower score is didn’t sleep for the 2 nites we were there! - howling from the winds, various super loud outside noise and noise from hotel pipework pretty much ongoing thru’ the nite. Sadly wouldn’t go back!
