Unable to sleep, mattress has sink holes in pillow top, aggravated my sciatica and gave me a miserable next day. Hub could not sleep either. Beautiful room! Clean bathroom! Big showerhead, hot water, good pressure. Loved towels. Super Front Desk staff, wonderful lobby seating areas, loved the parking. Easy walking distance to all. But who cares about all that if you can't sleep? Friends in other hotel had better ocean view and did not pay for it. No way to relax and enjoy view, have to move chair and stand to see it. Also, windows from several rooms open onto walkable roof, easy to break into rooms if window is open. I would stay again in a heartbeat if you get new mattresses.

King Suite did not match the picture, seemed a much lesser room. Sheets very scratchy. Bathroom sink barely drained. No coffee maker in the room. Very noisy street sounds early in the morning.(Garbage trucks, large vehicle back-up beeps both mornings. Not at all the experience we were expecting.

We had a great stay at the Pine Inn. The location is perfect, very central and within walking distance to everything. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, and the hotel itself is very cute. Our room was quite small, but we didn’t mind it at all. Overall, a wonderful stay and we’d happily come back!

Hotel has lots of character, room was great, clean, the bed was easily the most comfortable of all the hotels we stayed at on our 2 week roadtrip. Location was an easy walk to the beach and in the core area with the shops.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay. The heater didn’t seem to work in room although I didn’t really have an absolute need for it. Room was VERY clean! Even though older it was clean in every corner. Only room for improvement was in the desk people. While kind enough, they did not take a personal interest in my questioning the heat in the evening. Just said “yeah, I would just turn it to that symbol “. Which I was questioning the meaning of the symbols. The best response from them would have been, “we’ll send someone up to help you”.

I enjoyed my birthday here! This is one of the most original historic hotels in Carmel. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and so comfortable!!

Great location and friendly staff. Have stayed here a few times over the years. Rooms are nicely decorated and sized as typical for an Inn in Carmel. Parking available which is a plus. Location puts you on the main shopping road and a short walk down to the beach entry.
