Stayed here for my Anniversary weekend with my girlfriend. We hit the hotel bar right after checking in. Bar staff definitely pays more attention to a certain type of guest over others. We were pretty much ignored with only 4 people sitting. My room curtain had what looked like dried splatter of some sort on it. Rooms are definitely over priced for what you get. Price per night for a basic room with a balcony facing a parking lot was comparable in cost to a suite in Vegas. The pool area and hot tub were the only thing I honestly enjoyed about the stay. They had a movie playing on a projector you could watch while enjoying a swim Sat night which was nice. I honestly had high expectations for my Anniversary stay and found myself apologizing to my girlfriend instead for it not being what I thought it was.

wonderful experience staying here. was the perfect distance from ocean ave (carmels main street attraction) as well as point lobos and the coastal trails. it’s tucked away in a charming area surrounded by trees and the pool/hot tub area is a getaway in itself. overall it made for a wonderful trip and some comfortable sleep!

Love this place - definitely book it!

I’m usually too lazy to leave reviews but I have to this time. This place was awesome. Very cool California vibe. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We didn’t interact with staff much, but when we did, they were pleasant and helpful. The attached bar was fabulous - the bartenders couldn’t have been nicer. Our room looked out over the Barnyard - a shopping center - which had the cutest lights at night. It’s close to another great shopping center and a few minute drive to downtown. I highly recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat. This was seriously one of the most pleasant stays I’ve ever had and we travel fairly often.

If you are looking for dog friendly, upgraded accommodations, the Carmel Inn is the place. Rooms are huge, modern, with plenty of space for the two of us and our pup. It is located next to The Barnard and Crossroads shopping/dining/wine tasting plazas and it is a short walk to the Mission Basilica. The dog friendly Carmel Beach is 1.5 miles away and on Tuesday nights they host a Dog Bar in the courtyard (weather permitting) with live music, dogs, full bar and tasty appetizers. This is how you do a dog friendly getaway! Thank you!

Room was clean. However the room i got was on the main level right at the entrance. We cannot sleep well do to people coming in and out opening and closing the door. The room window was facinng the parking so cars coming in and the lights shine into the room. I had a terrible experience .

It was clean and there is a lot of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. When I booked it I thought it was within easy walking distance to Carmel By the Sea. It is not.

Nice stay and what you would expect for the rate compared to higher end hotels in the area. Some rooms are definitely nicer than others so make sure you know which room type you are reserving. Restaurant was good and front desk was accommodating. Some rooms have stair only access, so if you plan to have a lot of luggage request a room with elevator access. Some rooms face parking lot and feel more motel like. Comfortable beds, good lighting, entire hotel in need of updated carpet! Housekeeping was excellent.
