While we liked our accommodation and the location was great, there was a lot of noise which made it difficult to sleep. Since the room had shared walls/floors we were awake from 5:30am in the morning from the heavy footsteps above our room, to the noise from next door at around 7am. The inn is also an older property; walls were thin and the floors were creaky. We would also have liked an electric kettle in the room, although the dining space was nice and had refreshments throughout the morning.

Loved the sound of the ocean!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Green Lantern. Our room was clean and spacious! Staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating! We will certainly stay here again.

Easily walkable to everything Carmel has to offer. Parking can be hit or miss but we were lucky. Rooms were comfortable. There was work going on around our room to improve the garden but it didn't disturb us in any way.

The hotel reviews on their website are too old. The hotel no longer serves a breakfast. It would have been helpful to know that there was no coffee in the room and no breakfast.

The room was easy to find, clean and the staff were friendly. I loved how we had an ocean view and even though we weren’t directly on the shore, we could still hear the ocean. I like how bright and welcoming the room was. The staff were also kind.

pros: Very cute and very Carmel cottages and ground. convenient and quiet. walkable to shopping, dining and beach. The staff is very friendly. cons: Very limited onsite parking. The street parking is impossible until after dinner on the weekend. The insulation of the cottage is bad. Our cottage was so hot that we had to keep the door open after dinner until it cools down. Also not all the windows have screens. bugs get in. very limited storage space and have to live out of the suitcase mostly.
