Highland Dell lodge sits amongst the peaceful redwoods along the Russian River. The views are wonderful. This vintage hotel is well maintained and very clean and it is a very relaxing place from which to enjoy the river and surroundings. The restaurant is very nice specializing in German cuisine with tables inside or outside, overlooking the river. And the rafters in the dining room ceiling are a spectacular design.

This is a charming old-world experience in a well-maintained hotel set in the redwoods beside the Russian River. Rooms are smalll, but clean and comfortable. We had a balcony overlooking the river, which we enjoyed. The staff was helpful and friendly. The owner is obviously very proud of his establishment and dedicated to making it a good experience for his patrons. The breakfast is ample. The attached restaurant provides a German cuisine.

On the Russian River, with trees around. Quiet even with a lot of activity on the river. Restaurant onsite for dinner was a plus. Good continental breakfast included. Our room was very spacious with balcony on third floor with river views. Our room was air conditioned which we used during the day. There is no elevator so be prepared to climb to second floor for a lot of the rooms.
