Rustic cottage in the heart of the Bastides, Lot-et-Garonne. Perfect for 2!
Our 300 year old rustic cottage 'Volets Verts' is situated in the sleepy village of Montauriol (47330) on the Dordogne/Lot et Garonne border, close to the town of Castillonnes. This is our holiday home, so you will find it well equipped and comfortable, with a private outdoor space and in peaceful surroundings. There's lots to see in the area, as you are in the heart of the Medieval 'Bastide' towns . Villereal and Eymet are around 15-20 minutes drive away. 30 mins to Bergerac.
We hope you like our charming home as much as we do!
It comprises a comfortable living room with feature fireplace and woodburning stove, a dining area to seat 4, TV screen (no TV channels but streaming is fine)
A semi- open plan kitchen offers you a full electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher.
On the ground floor you will also find the bathroom, with full bath and shower over plus separate WC. There is also a further room where you will find the washing machine, drying rack and the gas BBQ.
Going upstairs via the open-tread staircase you will come to the landing area with 'Trompe L'oeil' window overlooking sunflower fields. The large bedroom has a comfortable double bed, seating area, clothes storage. Shutter on the window.
Wifi for browsing, emails and streaming (no gaming please)
Heating in the cooler months is via the woodburning stove and portable heater (Fuel/wood would need to be purchased)
To the rear is a private courtyard garden with outdoor eating area.
Access to the property is via a key safe. Free parking outside the property or in the marked bays near the church (40 metres)
Other things to note
Please note that our staircase is open tread and a little uneven in parts and therefore may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
Dogs accepted. Please request upon booking.
