My 3rd visit, and it is now hard to envisage going anywhere else. It really is close to perfection. The facilities are exceptional, the staff equally so. So friendly (and genuinely, you dont get the impression they are told to be so) the restaurants are excellent with a huge variety every day. The rooms are excellent and the beaches are unreal.

Overall stay excellent however I can't recommend because of the way I was treated by hotel security, that also involved Kenyan police for taking video & photography. I inquired & was told upon arrival feel free to take content. Only days later to be singled out & questioned who gave me permission. Security stated guess complaints of me taking their images & security concerns. Both unfounded & lies. From demands to view my content no such photos or videos found. About security, as a visitor who came in peace, meaning no harm. How would I know their security concerns? To cover their error I was ask to delete 2 videos. One from my room view of ocean, that had a entrance from the beach. How would I know that concern? And I am sure hundreds have taken same view. It's their job to mitigate security concerns. And not by harassing guest. Any person wishing to do harm will be more covert. There are many ways to secure images without being noticed. The other video demanded to be deleted was the one I took of security guard. I had plan to bring this matter to the attention of management & want to show who it was. Had he not approached me no recording would have been taken. Being falsely accused, I am stopped from leaving & treated liked a criminal & being embarrassed at front exit. With 3 security persons and 2 Kenyan police for taking videos. The trauma of this experience has caused me to not rest well. I will not return there & advise friends & family not to as well. Exp. ruined!

We had an excellent stay at Sarova Whitesands Hotel! The service truly feels 5-star – every staff member was warm and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choice, and I really enjoyed that they serve tea and snacks at 4pm, which was a lovely touch. The rooms were very comfortable, stocked with towels, bottled water, tea, coffee, and all the basics. The beds and pillows were super comfy, and the views from the hotel are absolutely beautiful. There are 5 excellent pools to enjoy, each with a different vibe, and the security around the hotel is very reassuring. The beach itself has lovely soft white sand, but there was quite a lot of seaweed in the water which made swimming a little less enjoyable. I didn’t even realise there was a games room until the end of my stay – a great bonus for families or longer visits. I only stayed 2 nights this time, but next time I’d definitely stay longer so I can explore everything properly. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!

So upon our arrival we were greates with delicious drinks and had a nice check. We are upgraded so the room was immaculate. The staff was very nice and attentive and the food that everyone mention was spot on. Now the reason i am giving this place 1 star is on our second night we notice one of the officers in fatigue outfits holding the large gun being very creepy and disturbing the women on the property. My wife went to the washroom where she was whistled at by one of them. This was Friday aug. 15th a lottle after 9pm. When my wife informed me i calmly approached them to assess the situation and was responded with shut up American the hotel cannot save you if we decide to arrest you. At that point with them holding Ak-47's in another country i really could not do much. One of them was extremely aggressive which i also noticed he had predatory eyes if this makes sense. As a lawyer i have to read people very well and i can see the sexual predatory look. For that reason my wife did not feel safe i spoke with a couple guest who also said there wives did not feel safe with those two men. This is a very serious accusation that should be delt with in house I strongly do recommend any guest staying there until that man is relieved from his job. I will also follow up with corporate until this sexual predator is fired.

It's an amazing resort with friendly staff, great food and nice amenities. It's easy to get a cab and go nearby shopping centres and restaurants in Nyali. In general it's 1 of the top 3 beach hotels/resorts ti stay at on the north coast of Mombasa.

We booked this property because are preferred property was undergoing renovations. The rooms are a bit small and the food is very expensive so we ended up going all inclusive. Overall, the stay was worth it. We loved all the different pool areas and the staff are very welcoming and helpful.
