This was a fantastic property I'd stay at again. Some rooms are without bathroom, and are priced accordingly. Very clean, very well equipped and very friendly! Website photos do the property justice, it's just as beautiful in person.

This romantic property is a great location to stay when doing anything downtown St. Paul. It is like stepping back in time and feels like you have left the Midwest.

Excellent 5/5 stars! Not typically Bed and Breakfast - I dislike that kitsch. This elegant and quite private mini retreat had everything for a modern day female. WIFI, plush robes, heated floors, 500tc sheets and a breakfast that I truly enjoyed. Definitely will be visiting again!

Amazing service, amazing room! We got the cathedral room and the jetted tub was HUGE and amazing and had a shower for those who dont enjoy tubs or want to shower afterwards. The pillows were soft and fluffy and the Breakfast was thebBEST part of waking up!!! Would definitely rate this as a 11 out of 10

Room was nice. House was beautiful. Location very nice. We went on a Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Breakfast was on our own with some eggs, cheese and bread in the refrigerator. For us no prepared breakfast. You are asked to take your shoes off, and there are no slippers to put on. There are a lot of steps. We were in the two twin bedroom and it was a shared bathroom. Luckily for us on Tuesday night there was no one else. So we had it to ourselves. I am not sure which rooms have shared bathrooms but that was not clear to us at the time of the reservation on Expedia.

Very courteous staff. Comfortable bed. Roomy accommodations. I would call is shabby chic. But Victorian it is not. All the modern conveniences make it comfortable. But the decor is distinctly modern, including the art on the walls. Nice. Cheap. Shared bathroom in the sky view rooms. They ask you to strip the linens off your bed before you leave.

The owner was incredibly friendly and helped accommodate our check in past the staffed hours of 4-6pm. Breakfast was ready at 9am which we had to unfortunately miss, but overall the hospitality was wonderful!

While the neighborhood is nice, I cannot recommend this place. As others have written before, they have a no-shoes policy in the house without providing slippers for guests. Though the Expedia listing mentions the same breakfast for all rooms, it only applies for the more expensive suites, not the standard rooms. There's no housekeeping - instead of B&B this might be listed as "make your own bed and cook your own breakfast". This might be fine if you book a hostel, but that's not what is advertised and paid for.
