This hotel was booked in emergent need because the other hotel we booked at gave us room keys for a room that was occupied, and there was a man in there - it freaked us out! And I found a new place to go…. Enter this Radisson. The room doors are incredibly loud, and cause the entire room to ‘rumble’ when open or closing. We also had something ‘odd’ going on in the room next to ours, activity all. Night. Long. Seemed like they were re-arranging furniture and swinging from the curtains. I called front desk. Nothing changed Thought, ok - will go relax in hot tub; NOPE it’s shut down, you don’t have that advertised on your website. Very disappointing! Just add that to the annoyingly loud n’bors …. it wasn’t the best hotel stay I’ve had. Extra disappointing this was on the heels of an escape from the Choice Hotel previously booked.

The air conditioning was broken. Our rooms were like saunas. There was a construction project that went all night next to the hotel. We got no sleep.

I know this place cannot control surrounding activities but there was construction going on at midnight until I finally fell asleep at 3am!!! Unknown after because I fell asleep finally. I was annoyed greatly because it was a big loud hammer drill sound outside. The “buffet” was eh. Sausage links, eggs, cereal, and waffles. Unfortunately during events I just think this hotel finds it hard to keep up with demand because we went to the buffet at 8:30am and it was all cold and picked over with no eggs left. They could have been cooking more but being on top of that would have been nice. The facility is CLEAN! AND WELCOMING!! The staff were amazing!!!! I wish parking was included but it is an extra $15!!! Cheaper than parking down the street at events but kind of sad when you are already a guests paying to stay. The shuttle to the events was 100% worth the stay itself. We went for the Jonas Brothers concert and Courtney the employee was amazing!!! Super kind and on top of things! Well deserved recognition to Courtney! He drove us to the place but on the way back this hotel has ONE shuttle. Now imagine 50+ hotel guests waiting for this one shuttle bus that can hold only 11 people… we stood for hours in the cold in line waiting. The hotel was only blocks away which is a plus but across busy roads making it less enjoyable to want to walk at almost midnight. So we didn’t walk we waited. Rooms were stocked well with great toiletries and extras! Hopefully constructions done soon:)

Concert Goers

Excellent friendly staff. Rooms a little smaller but big enough for two people. Beds super comfy. Close to Fitzgerald Theater and downtown. Nice breakfast buffet. Secure parking onsite for additional $15 per nite but worth it. Pool was nice as well. We’d stay here again!

Our room was amazingly clean and the housekeeper replaced towels and and checked on us twice a day. It is conveniently located to the Minnesota capitol and the Saint Paul Basilica. Parking was in a fenced, secure area and convenient. The front desk staff was warm and friendly on arrival and departure. A very generous breakfast was appreciated.

I am completely blown away by our experience at this hotel! They went above and beyond opening their restaurant early for us to eat and drink before a concert. The man we checked in with was so friendly and so accommodating! Our shuttle driver was incredible! I just don’t have the words to describe our experience here other than we will be going back here every time we have a concert at the Excel Center(Grand Casino Arena)!

The toilet was loose on the floor, the handle cover in the bath tub was flopping around. And there is no mention that they charge you $15 for parking plus getting into and out of the parking lot is ridiculous.

This hotel has certainly seen better days. The bathrooms have been updated and are bright and clean. The rooms themselves are a little dated as are the common areas. It wasn't all bad though. The hotel is just on the fringes of a vibrant downtown and easily walkable. Views of the Cathedral and Capitol building were visible from the hotel too. I did stop in at the bar but their taps were broken so i got a bottle of beer instead. The thing i loved about this were the staff. Absolutely fantastic people. Very friendly, very accommodating.
