This is the place to visit if you want a quiet and relaxing onsen experience. This family run ryokan is easy to find and offers a truly traditional Japanese experience. The traditional washoku breakfast and dinner were superb.
The private baths are clean and makes the ryokan experience even more pleasing.
On my list of places to visit again next year!
Water in onsen, scenery, dinner(kaiseki) and breakfast are absolutely good and staffs are very kind. Iโd like to find bad experience but there is no bad thing. I recommend that yamashinobu is good for everyone.
Total 7 onsens with 3 can be private used to share with 6 rooms. Not difficult to get a private onsen with family on every night. Food is good. Public transport is not convenience. Quite around the place. Good place for holiday.
They have 3 private family baths. Room is spacious and food is very good. Our family have 1 year old son and he hardly sit still at the table but the staff come and help us take care of him from time to time so that we can enjoy the food.
They also have a telescope on one buildingโs balcony for those who want to enjoy stargazing.
The place was great. We arranged for them to pick up our luggage first from the bus stop so that we could stroll around the streets of Kurokawa, and they came back to pick us up again at check-in time. The baths especially the outdoor ones were spectacular. Dinner was the usual fanfare of many small courses and we were impressed. Attention to detail - the staff noted from dinner that my friend was left-handed and placed the chopsticks and spoons "the other way round" for breakfast the following day. We were pleasantly surprised by this thoughtful and heart-warming gesture.
