Beautiful Beachfront Retreat on Broadkill Beach. Perfect for couples & families.

Relax and unwind at our Waterfront Broadkill Beach retreat, "The Blue Pearl," directly on the Delaware Bay. Pass through the gate decorated with colorful oars and leave your worries behind. Walk up one flight of stairs to the screened-in porch, which provides unobstructed views of the beach and water’s edge. Here you’ll enjoy your morning coffee as you watch the glorious sunrise. From the porch, walk out onto the expansive deck and the see the sun’s reflection on the Delaware Bay as it rises, saying “Good morning” to Broadkill Beach. Head down a few steps for direct, immediate beach access and start your day with an invigorating run, walk, or bike ride on the sandy beach. Refresh yourself with a swim in the bay or come back to the house to rinse off in the outdoor shower.

The nautical theme continues inside this fully furnished 3 bed, 1.5 bath home (plus outdoor shower). The bedrooms are spacious and well appointed with luxury mattresses and pillows for a good night’s sleep. Queen-sized beds are in two bedrooms and a twin-over-full bunk bed is in the third bedroom. Each bed has a protective mattress cover. Please do not mistakenly take this home with you when you remove your bedding. A replacement fee will be requested if removed. Ample closet space and dressers are in each room and ready for your personal belongings. 43 inch Samsung Smart TVs are in the living room and in the master bedroom. The master bedroom also has an attached half bath.

Linens are not provided. Please bring bedding, pillow cases, and towels (indoor and outdoor). Pillows are provided for each bedroom. You'll need your own blankets as well. Specifically: master bedroom: queen set (fitted sheet, flat sheet, 4 pillow cases); second bedroom: queen set (fitted sheet, flat sheet, 4 pillow cases); bunk room: twin set (top bunk: fitted sheet, flat sheet, 1 pillow case); full set (bottom bunk: fitted sheet, flat sheet, 2 pillow cases). Bring your own beach towels and beach gear.

We will provide laundry detergent, trash bags, smaller trash bags , a clean sponge, dishwasher detergent, kitchen dish soap and hand soap for both bathrooms. One roll of toilet paper per bathroom and one roll of paper towels are provided.

The kitchen, dining, and living areas are open and bright with two sets of sliding glass doors allowing access to the deck and gorgeous views of the Delaware Bay. Dine inside at the round table, outside on the deck at the 6-person table, or on the couch in the screened in porch. Rest in the living room, which has two plush chairs and a sofa all with direct views of the water. The entertainment center has a 43 inch new Samsung smart TV. High speed wireless internet is included.

Full washer and dryer inside (along with laundry detergent); fully equipped kitchen with all utensils and pots and pans; outdoor gas grill. Please clean the grill after use and empty the drip pan.

Grab your constellation map and end your day on the deck chaise lounge chairs star gazing into the night sky.

Girls Getaway

Four of us "senior" ladies had an absolutely lovely time. The house was as depicted -- no surprises there; clean; spacious; awesome view of the bay. Spent a lot of time on the deck; quiet beach. Nearby Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk and Milton Theater provided nice excursions. Looking forward to repeating the experience!

The house is amazing! Clean, comfortable and right on the beach. The flies were bad a couple of days but it’s so close to attractions and other beaches there’s always something to do. The community is laid back and private, much different than OC or some of the other more popular areas.

Perfection!

This was my family's second stay at the Blue Pearl. We had previously come in April, enjoyed the house, and decided to come back for Thanksgiving. Monica, the owner, continues to be responsive and accommodating. She makes the whole rental process very easy. Our family had a cozy-comfy time together, as well as long walks on the beach - just what we needed! We were able to make all our meals in the well equipped kitchen, and the whole house is clean and tidy. A true home away from home for us!

Wonderful Place to Escape to!

We stayed at the Blue Pearl for 4 nights at the end of September/beginning of October. Although the weather was not on our side, we still had a wonderful time. The house is just steps over the dunes from the beach, so our favorite feature was that it was so easy to take a quick walk to look for shells with our 4 year old and head back inside when it would start raining again. Both the beach and the street are quiet, and we loved that. Our 4 month old’s pack ‘n play would have fit in any of the bedrooms, and we appreciated that both of the non-master bedrooms had armchairs to sit in while feeding him or getting him to sleep. The open concept living room/kitchen area was also a plus; our 4 year old had plenty of space to play while it was raining. We didn’t cook any major meals by choice but the kitchen had what we needed to heat leftovers or make simple breakfasts. Our only regret is that we couldn’t utilize the screened porch or deck more because of the weather - will have to save that for next time!

Great house in an excellent location

This was my second time staying here, and I can't recommend it enough. The house itself is well cared for, clean, comfortable, and easily fit three adults and three kids. The best part of course is the location- you can sit on the large deck and watch the ocean, or you can walk 50 feet over the dunes and right onto the beach. Broadkill is a nice wide beach, and is sparsely populated.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

We truly enjoyed this beach house. It was exactly as advertised and CLEAN. Furniture was comfortable and everything we needed in a kitchen to make most of our meals at the house. The deck was perfect with a wonderful view. Literally steps over the dune to walk the beach. Lovely neighborhood and quiet. A/C that worked perfectly. Owner was responsive and a pleasure to work with. We lucked out with amazing weather but even if we hadn't, it would not have mattered. We will be back again!

Secluded Spot with Beautiful View

This is a beautiful home in a secluded section of the Delaware Bay. It has an amazing view of the bay with a private beach area. We had everything we needed in the house. Our host, Monica, was very communicative and on top of everything. The location is close to the southern beaches but far enough away to escape the traffic.

Beautiful views in the perfect house

The Blue Pearl was a great stay for our family of four. Being on the southern tip of broadkill gave us a secluded feel with an easy beach access. The house was clean and well kept. We loved eating breakfast out on the deck each morning with a beautiful view of the bay. We hope to escape back to this wonderful home on future vacations

Great Stay at Broadkill Beach

The house was as advertised. Super clean and cozy. Short walk to the beach. If you didn't know it was the Bay you'd think you were at the ocean. Hardly any visitors in mid July. We brought all our own beach gear and with small children, would highly recommend a carrying wagon. 20 min drive to Rehoboth and Lewes beaches. On one beach break day, we went to Children's Museum in Lewes and then rented surrey bikes in Rehoboth, which the kids loved. Lewes and Rehoboth beaches were literally packed so glad we essentially had our own private beach. General store at the beginning of the entry road has your basic supplies/groceries and the nearest Food Lion is 15-20 minute drive. Great trip. Only issue were sand flies but were only irritating when the wind stopped.

Another lovely stay!

This is our second time staying at this cute beach house! It’s the perfect size for our family of 4 +grandma. We are familiar with the area and love the remoteness & peacefulness of Broadkill beach while being close enough to Lewes/Rehoboth. The beach was great for shore fishing, shallow swimming in the bay with the kids and finding small sea creatures especially by the jetty. The house itself had a few upgrades since we were there last, everything is super clean and owner is very nice. Will be back!

Wonderful location

This was our second time here for a quiet, relaxing time with family and friends. Having the beach close by is a plus. Some of the nearby activities include restaurants, farm stands, winery, lavender shop, yoga on the beach, massages, sightseeing, other beaches, and of course, fishing. We will go back again.
