This 2-story 18th Century stone cottage – originally used as a smokehouse and subsequently as a schoolhouse – has recently been fully renovated to create the perfect blend of rustic and luxury, featuring original stone walls, exposed original oak beams, wood floors, a stone patio and outdoor fireplace, as well as views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, On the ground floor, guests will find a fully-equipped kitchen, full bathroom, and a living space with wood burning stove and dining table. The upper floor features the bedroom and additional reading room and office. Situated on 7-acres, the cottage is just minutes from historic Middleburg in the heart of horse and wine country and only an hour from Washington D.C, perfect for romantic getaways, equestrians, cyclists, and anyone looking for an escape from everyday life.

Wonderful stay

This property was perfect for a short mother-daughter trip to Middleburg. The cottage and beautiful outdoor spaces (including a fireplace and dining area) are just as pictured and the location is very convenient to the shops and restaurants in town. Beautiful Cottage
