Small rooms/bathrooms, but comfortable beds. Park right outside your room. Conveniently located along the highway, and you will hear road noise. Fridge and microwave. Hair dryer. NO air conditioning at all, so hot summer months they do provide large fans. Owners very helpful and kind. Rooms clean and beds very comfortable. One small pub/restaurant next door, open only evenings. No gas stations in the immediate area, so fill up before if you need to. Small packaged breakfast items offered in office. For what we needed, it was convenient and good.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly. It is an older property therefore no air conditioning. We would not stay again in the heat and humidity of summer but different seasons would be ok.

This is a nice motel in the middle of nowhere in the UP. There is a small bar/grill next door, open only for supper, and that is the only amenity in the area. The room was cozy and clean and as good as you can expect for this price

Pleasant surprise

Spent the night on a travel trip between Houghton and Marquette after driving 9 hours. Easy access right on the highway. Surprisingly quiet.very nice owners on the premises that are a phone call away—if you need to call to check in late, just let them know 24 hours in advance. It’s a classic 1960 MOTEL that was remodeled about 10 years ago. It’s attractive and my son thought it was pretty neat. Newish bathroom set up and clean room. No AC but there are 2 big fans.

Excellent service from the staff/owners!! Understandably the heating source had been shut down for the summer. But, we had an unusually cold day/night upon our check-in. We asked about the heat and the owners turned the entire boiler system on as a result of us being cold in the room. Great service and a kind gesture!!
