Good value. Nice views. Friendly staff.

Easy check-in. Friendly front desk staff. Rooms are dated, but clean and spacious. Mattress was comfortable, but the pillows weren't great. Bathroom is clean but dated and the shower was barely a trickle. The balcony with the river view was great. Having a coffee maker with no coffee or filters is just cruel!

Didn’t feel safe

The door knob to enter the room was flimsy, dead bolt didn’t exist. It was an empty hole. I did not feel safe the 2 nights I stayed. You could see daylight under the door. Although great location

Paid an extra $11 for a balcony room and was put on the ground floor. When I questioned it. They said it was probably booked through a third party and they couldn't do anything about it.

We had an upstairs unit and the stairs were not in great shape. It was hard to find how to get to the unit. The unit was clean. Used the coffee pot but it leaked. It was great there was a small refrigerator.

My reservation was for the one remaining room and I had a message from the manager/owner that there was a problem but we were on the road and by the time I saw the message we did not have service. But the manager/owner honored the reservation and greeted us warmly. Great place, cannot wait to go back next year!

There are not a lot of options in Mexican Hat so this was our only choice. I think it's pricy for what it offers but you pay for the location close to Monument Valley. The food at the diner was good. The room was clean although it showed its age. Best thing was the view onto the river in the evening.

This was a good and interesting stay. The location was very nice and picturesque. We couldn’t find anybody to check us in for about 10 minutes, the lobby was deserted. The floor plan was a little odd, with the bathroom having no sink and the only sink being located behind the bedroom door. You also had to pass through bedroom 2 to even reach the bathroom. Being located right on the river was great and we made use of the beautiful proximity to the river. All the workers we interacted with were very nice. The parking lot is awkward and has tight squeezes and tight parking.

Nice little restaurant on site that has great food. Good view of the San Juan River. This is an older style hotel but it worked for us for our stay.
