About this property

Come Stay in the Historic Downtown District of Metropolis, IL. Home of Superman

Apartment in Metropolis with kitchen
After completing a full renovation on the 2nd floor of the Jones Building in 2018, we are excited to offer you four industrial style suites in Metropolis, IL. Constructed in 1908, “The Jones Building” was a former office complex. The old wooden staircase has seen a lot of traffic leading to everything from a dentist office, insurance agency and a three generation law firm. Just to name a few. This space has been revitalized and allowed to thrive again. “The Jones” is ready to welcome you to the home of Superman! Step out of the door and you are already at the giant 15 ft. tall Superman Statue and Super Museum. Within walking distance to all of the downtown shops and restaurants.
Air-conditioned accommodations at this apartment offer coffee/tea makers and hair dryers. Kitchens offer refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves, and separate dining areas.

You'll have the entire apartment to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

      Unbelievable suite

This is a must stay, so worth the drive. This historic building is full of charm and character. The suite we stayed in was amazing because of the comfort and decor of the rooms. Everything was so clean and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. As an added bonus, Josh gave us a tour and history of the building.

This place was beautiful. Loved the industrial style! Very private. The renovation was nicely done and had nice upgrades. Very close to casino too.

        Cozy Apartment

My wife and I spent one night in the Louis Lane apartment. We enjoyed our stay in this amazing apartment. We enjoyed the industrial style of the Jones building. If we take another trip to southern Illinois we are for sure going to stay in this apartment. We were late checking in because of our events we planned that day. Joshua (the owner) called me to make sure that everything was fine and that we would be in later. He also offered some advice with the gaining access to the apartment. We appreciated him making sure we would still be in. Overall we had an amazing experience.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

Several amazing compliments to leave for the owners and future tenants. 1) The owner's communication was outstanding. Prior to the trip he emailed me information about the location, he checked on us during our traveling, and gave us great recommendations for food. His hospitality was a big key in making the stay fun! They even left a complimentary Superman glass for us! 2) The building is impeccable. This design is the perfect combination of modern, rustic, and authentic. The apartment itself was spotless and looked brand new! We felt so safe and comfortable, and slept so well on the very comfortable bed. We arrived after dark and made a few blocks looking for the Jones Building, when we couldn't find it we went one block down to the police station and asked for directions. One of the officers knew right away and said "Oh Man in the Cowboy Hat's building, yeah it's just right here." 3) Go to Fat Edd's. I had no idea what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by the food and atmosphere. Overall, if we travel across country again in that direction, we will drive out of our way if needed to stay at this location again.
