Mountain Treehouse - Magpie Nest

Summary:
The sleepy town of Mentone invites you to Magpie Nest. The property sits high in the trees above the detached garage of our sister property, Ruby's Roost. With a private entrance this cozy home boasts an apartment living feel w/1 bedroom, one bath, and a fantastic view!
Mentone is a seasonal destination with a spring Rhododendron Festival (May 18-19) and a fall Colorfest festival. When it is cold enough, you can ski at Cloudmont Ski Resort, and when it’s warm enough you can swim in the river.

The Magpie Nest "Tree House" is an above garage apartment that offers breathtaking views and natural beauty. Our cozy little treehouse offers guests an open-style living space with an eat-in kitchen stocked with all the basics you need to settle in and feel "at home." The living room has a TV complete with Roku so you can relax after exploring our sleepy little town and all it has to offer! A generous bedroom with a queen-size bed and a full bathroom with fresh updates complete our home! Don't forget to take time to checkout the beautiful wildlife around the property, especially the ladybugs!

***We love our big, warm windows - and in the winter, so do ladybugs! They are harmless but resistant to pest control treatments. Please open and close the door to the porch quickly to reduce the number that get inside. If they do, we’ve left a small vacuum in the corner of the dining room. You can suck them up and dump them back outside!***

***We kindly ask guests to treat all towels and linens with care. If any items are stained or damaged beyond repair, a replacement fee will be charged to cover the cost of new linens. This helps us maintain a high standard of cleanliness and comfort for all future guests. Thank you for your understanding!***

Guest Access:
The house has a digital keypad at the front door which will provide you access to the house. The code will be provided upon check-in. You will have full and private access to the home.

The Neighborhood:
We a located in a rural area. While we do have "neighbors" our lots are large and plenty of beautiful vegetation for privacy.

NOTE: This apartment sits above the detached garage and neighbors our main house Ruby's Roost. If you have not also booked Ruby's Roost please feel free to inquire how you may book both properties together!

Getting Around:
We recommend driving and offer parking for all our guests.

Other Things to Note:
Please stay off the wooden structure near the driveway.

We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 21 years of age to book.
If you notify us of your intent to cancel prior to the lapse of the free cancellation period, we will return 97% of your payment. The other 3% will already have been collected by the credit card processing company, and we have no way to return that portion of the payment.

We are a pet friendly home. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. All pets require a non-refundable pet fee. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. In the event that a security deposit is collected, we will retain all or part of the security deposit to cover any costs associated with additional cleaning due to pets.

Interaction with Guests:
We like to give our guests maximum privacy, so we offer contact-free checkin via a digital door code. Just know that we are only a phone call away if ever the need arises during your stay!
