Die Unterkunft ist sehr „ab vom Schuss“, was mit einer sehr ruhigen und grĂŒnen Lage einhergeht. Mit dem Auto ist sie gut zu erreichen und bietet großzĂŒgige Parkmöglichkeiten. Der Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hat uns auch wĂ€hrend einer medizinischen Notsituation jederzeit geholfen, Taxis organisiert und auch außerhalb der Essenszeiten noch etwas zur VerfĂŒgung gestellt. Die Betten waren fĂŒr uns zwar sehr unbequem, jedoch wurde sofort als wir das gemeldet haben Abhilfe geschaffen.

Sehr gerne wieder!

Wir wollten schon lange im Wasserschloss Mellenthin ĂŒbernachten, da es uns dort sehr gut gefĂ€llt. Als wir Anfang des Jahres dort waren, hatte alles noch einen gemĂŒtlichen Weihnachtsflair und die Beleuchtung abends war sehr schön. Der Ritterabend (jeden Dienstag) hat das ganze abgerundet. Der Service ist wunderbar freundlich und das Zimmer unglaublich sauber. Durch einschlĂ€gige Serien im TV waren wir etwas empfindlicher als frĂŒher, haben aber nichts gefunden, was Grund zum Anstoß gab. NĂ€chstes Mal möchte ich zwei oder mehr Tage dort verbringen, da man richtig entspannen kann. Das WLAN ist natĂŒrlich ausbaufĂ€hig, aber das liegt am Ortsnetz. :-)

Ehemaliges Wasserschloss zum Hotel umgebaut

Wir waren schon zum 2. Mal in diesem Hotel und es gefĂ€llt uns nach wie vor sehr gut. Mit viel MĂŒhe und sicherlich sehr hohen Kosten wurde das alte GemĂ€uer zum Hotel umgebaut. Als Besonderheit wird hier in einer kleinen Brauerei das eigene Bier hergestellt. Die RĂ€umlichkeiten sind rustikal und mit großem Aufwand hergerichtet. Der FrĂŒhstĂŒcksraum ist mit langen rustikalen Tischen ausgestattet. Es herrscht eine sehr gute AtmosphĂ€re in den alten RĂ€umlichkeiten und es ist alles aufeinander abgestimmt.

Schöne ruhige Lage! Abends meistens Programm!

Haben eigentlich nur die NĂ€chte dort verbracht da wir viel unternommen haben! Aber das was wir so mitbekommen haben war alles zufriedenstellend! Einziges Manko ist die sehr schlechte Internetanbindung was vermutlich an der LĂ€ndlichen Lage liegt WLAN so gut wie unbrauchbar!

1500-talsslott med vallgrav samt eget bryggeri

Vi tillbringade en natt pÄ Wasserschloss Melanthin och den gav verkligen mersmak! Att fÄ bo i ett rent och trivsamt rum belÀget i en gavelbyggnad till ett 1500-talsslott med vallgrav Àr bara det positivt. DÀrtill var servicen tillmötesgÄende, det gavs en piratbuffé med tanke pÄ barnfamiljer i en annan gavelbyggnad samt vanlig å la carte-restaurang i sjÀlva slottet. Som grÀdde pÄ moset hade man egen tillverkning av öl och sekt pÄ slottet. SjÀlvfallet kunde man lÄta sig vÀl smaka av detta i restaurangen samt köpa med sig hem i slottets vÀlsorterade souveniraffÀr.

Marvellous

This hotel was surely something else! We arrived late in the evening. The castle was all lit up. It looked just like in a fairytale. We got a very nice room and we had a late dinner in a fantastic restaurant in the castle. The only disappointment was that we had to leave early the next morning. We could have stayed here for several days. The breakfast was served in the brewery which had a mixed style of old and modern. Very nice!

Tranquility and debauchery

This medieval castle is owned and operated by a private family who do a marvelous job of getting every thing just right. I was quiet overwhelmed by the ambience which is why I added 2 more nights on to the original booking of 4 nights. Also they brew their own beer which I found very good. The restaurant facilities are quit extensive and provide excellent food and service which is why they have many visitors from around the island for lunch and dinner. At afternoon coffee time the home made cakes and waffles are hugely popular. Most evenings they have theme nights with buffet dinner and live entertainment which are very popular with families. After dinner many people enjoy the tranquility of the establishment by taking a walk right around the outside of the mote which surrounds the castle. The rooms are a bit small but comfortable with a roomy and well equipped bathroom, but who wants to spend more time than nessecary in a place like this. My room was facing the court yard which was well patronized till late at night and I had to shut the windows to keep out the noise of people having a good time. The castle is reasonably central to visit nearby beaches and various sight seeing places and it's always a delight to come back to this magnificent place. Breakfast is also something to look forward to, with many items changing every morning. I'm a huge fan of smoked salmon and that was there every morning. Its a beautiful place and I wish I could spend some time here again.

Vi har bott pÄ Wasserschloss Mellenthin förut och det var med glÀdje vi ÄtervÀnde till detta synnerligen trevliga hotell! Hotellrummet Àr kanhÀnda inte sÄ stort, men trevligt inrett med mörkt trÀ och sköna sÀngar. Personalen Àr vÀnlig & tillmötesgÄende, om Àn pÄ tyskt maner ganska opersonliga. Vi Ät inte middag den hÀr gÄngen, men frukostbuffén Àr god och har gott urval. Sedan förra gÄngen visste vi att hotellet ligger lite "off" och kan vara svÄrt att lokalisera om man inte vet vad man letar efter, men Ä andra sidan Àr det nÄgot vi finner tilltalande. Mina enda anmÀrkningar Àr att vi blev överraskade av byggarbetare som plötsligt stod pÄ en byggstÀllning utanför vÄrt hotellrumsfönster vid halv niotiden pÄ morgonen - och att det bara var ena sÀngen som hade fungerande möjlighet att höja huvudÀnden. Det hÀr var vÄrt andra, men garanterat inte vÄrt sista besök!
