Our lovingly designed holiday apartment combines historic charm with generous living comfort. Set quietly in the rear building, it is accessible via a beautiful wooden staircase—perfect for guests who value relaxation, privacy, and a unique atmosphere.



The heart of the apartment is the spacious, open living and dining area. Exposed timber columns and ceiling beams divide the space and create a warm, authentic atmosphere full of character. Here you can dine together, relax, and unwind after the day. The apartment is ideal for couples, families, or friends who appreciate space and coziness.



Bicycles can be safely stored and charged in the courtyard passage. The seating area in the courtyard is available for you and invites you to linger. You may also enjoy the wild garden at the back—a peaceful spot to relax, read, or enjoy nature.



Your hosts live on the property, but not in the booked apartment.



The location is perfect for nature lovers and active guests: In just 2 minutes on foot, you reach Lake Werratalsee, ideal for walks, swimming, stand-up paddling, or relaxing by the water. Numerous hiking and cycling trails start right at your doorstep, leading through the gentle hills of the Hessische Schweiz, along the Werra River, and through forests and meadows.



Right next to the apartment is a historic estate that gives Gänsemarkt its special character. The surroundings are marked by half-timbered houses, farms, and greenery—peaceful, authentic, and charming. A restaurant in Schwebda is within walking distance, and further attractions are close by.
