Nestled on 4 wooded acres along Pond Creek and Tremper Mound Preserve, this one of a kind cabin will certainly be a unique experience. Walls of windows blur the lines between inside and out, connecting you with nature in every room. The house is very open, with rooms winding around the central stone fireplace with varying levels.

We live in the area but not on this property. You'll have private use of the the entire space, inside & out.

The east side of the property borders Tremper Mound Preserve. Trailhead parking is available on State Route 104. For local shopping and dining, Portsmouth's Historic Boneyfiddle District is only 10 minutes away.

You have access to the cabin and 4 acres. Due to safety concerns, the loft is inaccessible to guests. There are patios, fire pit, paths to explore, and a platform that overlooks the creek.

Roundabout Cabin is a magical stay. The setting is private and tranquil. The house is a unique, hobbit style. The interior is luxurious and cozy. The shower is one of a kind. The cabin is private, yet close enough to Portsmouth to be convenient. I would highly recommend this stay for anyone seeking seclusion and a little bit of adventure.

A Forest Gnome Home

What a delightful experience to stay in this forest getaway. The unique architecture of this roundabout home was such wonderful place to relax. The wood and stone interior with the sunken living room that had huge windows looking out into the forest made you feel like you you were staying with the Gnomes. Such a great place for a getaway!

We loved this cabin so much! It was very clean, and check in was easy. It was so unique and it is in a beautiful area. We had everything we needed for meals in the kitchen. Even a cast iron skillet, which I really appreciated! When we had a question for our host, they were easy to communicate with, and got back with us quickly. We loved the view when we were eating our meals. Thank you for this little getaway surrounded by nature!

The cabin and outdoor patio were great. Very clean. Does need more available towels. The shower was very cool. The peacefulness was interrupted by the neighbor dog that barked almost the whole time we were there. The owner tried her best to rectify the situation and that was appreciated, but there was not much to be done about an inconsiderate neighbor.

We had a truly wonderful stay at The Roundabout Cabin! If you are looking for a place that is quiet and peaceful, this is absolutely it. The setting is incredibly serene and offered a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle.Key HighlightsLocation: Perfect blend of seclusion and convenience. We loved how close we were to local shopping and food, making it easy to grab groceries or enjoy a nice dinner without a long drive.Atmosphere: The cabin lives up to its name, offering a unique and charming aesthetic. Most importantly, it provided a peaceful and quiet environment—ideal for relaxing and unwinding.Areas for ImprovementWhile our overall experience was excellent, there were a couple of small issues we noted:Driveway Lighting: Since the area is very dark at night (which contributes to the peace!), we had difficulty navigating the driveway because the driveway lights were not working at all. It was hard to see where we were going with it being so dark, especially when arriving after sunset.Safety/Accessibility: We noticed a lack of railings in two key areas. There was no railing for the small set of steps leading down to the living room, and similarly, no railing or grab bar in the shower. For guests with mobility concerns, or just for general safety, this is something that should be addressed.
