I booked the room and when I went to the website for directions they said the hotel was permanently closed. This is after they booked my debit card for over 250 dollars. Since I was being my grave father back home I decided to book another hotel. I called the hotel again and said they were not closed but there was a new management and name change. I’m glad I called and said of course I needed a refund asap. They told me to get a hold of you and ask for a refund. So I kindly ask for you to redepisit my funds back in my accounts. Great as always!! I keep coming back for fhe great and welcoming staff starting from their front desk assistant Belinda, the rooms are always clean, the best buffet I ever tried in any hotel room from McAllen is this one, food is delicious, the staff is always friendly and nice… I love the comfy beds, every time I come back is a great and relaxing experience.. Thank you!!

Front desk, Belinda, was so courteous and friendly. She made me feel welcome. Great hotel to stay if you are in a business trip or just to vacation. You have the mall and restaurants in the surrounding area. I will book a room again on my next business trip.

Everything went well as usual!! This is my favorite hotel welhen we want to get out of our routine and we never get disappointed… at the reception Belinda was an incredible person, kind and helpful!! She’s an example of great great costumer service! I love the way she treated me when I arrived at the property starting with her smile and good manners… The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast and the people working there were amazing!! Please don’t forget to tip them! They’re all so nice and make sure you get everything you need… I definitely highly recommend Verta Hotel if I only could give it 10 stars.. 5 stars is not enough for the attention, great food and place! Thank you!!

I’m a traveling physician. This has been my favorite hotel in McAllen for years. It has been taken over by new owners. They have complete utter disregard for the needs of their guests. The last two months at this hotel they have not had a hot water. I’ve seen people come to fix the boiler. I’ve been told that the pipes have been switched back-and-forth. All things that are very inconvenient. But the last straw is to be told that is now the policy of the hotel to provide lukewarm water for everybody as advised by their lawyers to prevent lawsuits because somebody Scalded themselves with hot water. The water is not even lukewarm. It is tepid! . Sometimes I’m told that there’s some issue that needs fixing and then other times they tell me that it’s policy of the new owners. All I can say is if you expect to have hot water in your hotel (as anybody would), you should probably find another place to stay. These people are not even apologetic about the situation and are not accommodating at all. obviously, if I knew that there was going to be no hot water as a matter of policy, I would’ve found another place to stay. Stay away !!!
