The room I was initially assigned was roach-infested. When I went down to the front desk to complain (I had tried to call, but the line was busy), I was reassigned to a room that was a downgrade. I also reported a grasshopper on the wall of the dining area the next evening. That front desk clerk brushed it off with a broom and went back to the desk. I reported my discontent with the whole situation of my room at checkout. That was 5 days ago, and no manager has contacted me to apologize or make amends. I discovered the roach infestation when, after checking in at 12:30 a.m., I was sitting on the bed texting my daughter. I thought a bedskirt had brushed my foot. After feeling it several times, I looked down to see that what I had felt was a roach. I tried to kill it but couldn't and then spotted several others. (I have a photo of one.) . At 1:15 a.m., exhausted and having to get up early for a full day of meetings, I called the front desk multiple times over a 10 - 15 minute period, but the line was busy. I finally went down and had my room changed, but, as I noted, it was to a downgraded room. I have never had roaches crawling on me in a hotel--or anywhere--and I have traveled all over the world. That no one has contacted me now, 5 days later, to apologize or try to make amends suggests they don't think this kind of thing matters much. I would never stay there again.
