We were in town for our son's wedding at CHQ Barn just down the road. We had 3 generations of family members staying, and everyone was extremely happy with the rooms, the extras (fully equipped kitchen, extra blankets, lots of pillows, to name a few). Extra amenities in the bathrooms (soaps, lotion, etc) were also a nice touch.Our hosts were reached out on multiple occasions to ensure we were having a smooth checkin, visit and checkout. We had no issues, but it was nice to know they were there if we needed them! We found the house very clean and ready to use, with clear directions on both access, heat, and lighting.The spaciousness of the dining room allowed us to host a dinner, a brunch and a breakfast for some additional relatives from the wedding, and the equipped kitchen was great for both cooking and serving them.My kids and their cousins greatly enjoyed hanging out in the large wrap around couch in the back living room, and enjoyed some retro video games on the arcade machines also! While it rained a fair bit during our visit, they all also enjoyed touring the out building over the creek.Would highly recommend for anyone hosting a larger group of friends or family!

Perfect Getaway!

We rented this property for my bachelorette weekend and it was the perfect lowkey getaway! There were plenty of beds and the rooms were very spacious. The property was beautiful to play games, take a walk, and enjoy the firepit. I was very impressed with how clean and new the house felt. Our only issue was that the party bus got stuck in the driveway due to mud, but that was 100% his fault and not on the property owners at all. So be mindful of that! Nearby Johnson Winery had the best vibes, would recommend!

Perfect for large groups

We had a group of five guys stay here for a golf trip from Wednesday to Friday, but honestly, the place could comfortably sleep 4 to 5 more people without any issues. One night, we hosted a low country boil and had about 20 people hanging out—guests, locals, everyone—spread out on the porch, inside the house, and even back at the cabin in the woods. It was absolutely perfect for that kind of gathering.Rebecca and Chris were fantastic hosts—super accommodating, easy to work with, and flexible with our plans and schedules, which made everything stress-free. If you’re visiting Chautauqua anytime during the year with a big group, this place is a no-brainer. The location is ideal—close to the CHQ institution, the golf course, and just off Interstate 86.The house had everything we needed: strong internet, great coffee, plenty of storage, and multiple “wings” so those who wanted to turn in early could do so without disturbing the night owls. The flexible accommodations really made a difference and suited our group perfectly.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a spacious, well-equipped spot in the area!
