Disappointing Maui experience

This was one of the most unpleasant stays during our big trip Korea-Japan-Hawaii. This hotel was the most expensive from all the booked and we were putting on it great expectations. However the property, the service, conditions of pools, outside areas, gym, hospitality level were very poor and dissapointing. There was zero Maui hospitality, from the moment we arrived we felt unwelcome and cold. I would never recommend this place to anyone who is seeking for great service and high standard of property. Don’t waste your time and money.

What I liked was the bed was comfortable & lunch was good. What I didn’t like was very slow check-in to the most undesirable room that they called an upgrade.It had a parking lot view with lots of noises . It was very crowded with conventions , and they didn’t have enough pool chairs for all the guests. My husband couldn’t take the crowds at the resort so we took extra book excursions around the island and left the resort. At the beginning of our trip we stayed at the Waliea Beach villas and had a wonderful non crowded stay. Then we went to The Timbers Kauai and also had a wonderful non crowded stay! The Kea Lani at least burst our bubble and made us want to come home!
