Wonderful place! The staff is great and the room was the perfect size with wonderful amenities! There are plenty of food options around and it’s about a 5 minute walk from the tram station! The room was a bit dusty. The soap dispensers in the men’s toilet on the ground floor were empty. I believe the photos of the rooms with a view of the castle had been photo shopped as I couldn’t figure out how it is possible to see the castle as show in the room photos, from any of the rooms. I was able to see the castle from the window but only just.

Excellent hotel. The only reason why we gave one less star for comfort was because, as visitors from Australia, we found the mattress to be very hard. It was the same at other hotels we stayed at in Japan. The hotel is within walking distance of the Matsuyama station or a short tram ride.
