Nice hotel, friendly and very helpful staff. Hotel is very close to the beautiful Matsumoto Castle. Further walk to the station (about 15 minutes), and to restaurants, but overall I liked it.

Washing machine doesnt work - various guests complained about the lack of detergent but staff didnt care at all. Washing machine is paid to boot. Very small hotel even by Japan standards

The hotel is very near to Matsumoto Castle and was quiet and peaceful. The public bath is small but sufficient. The decor can feel a little dim in the rooms but otherwise everything was clean, and staff were attentive.

staff was good ... parking was ok... breakfast was very limited and was also inexpensive ...so?? ...room cleanliness was ok ...hotel is showing its age. stayed in 9 hotels in Japan . this was our least favorite.

Location is convenient being right near Matsumoto Castle and a short walk to the train station. Didn't find a lot of restaurants close by, but head towards the station or a couple block BH the Castle and you'll find something. Staff was attentive and had no problems. Room was quiet and typically claustrophobic, but served it's purpose.

The room was lovely and more spacious than others we’ve stayed at. Staff was wonderful and the breakfast buffet had a nice variety of foods, Japanese curry, rice, scrambled eggs, sausage as well as croissants with butter and jam, pain au chocolat and the coffee was good 😊

Comfortable great location cute town

This hotel was a great little find. Very affordable and comfortable. A business hotel so they had laundry service in Japanese public bath on site. Matsumoto is a cute little town and very walkable from the hotel. Also, the hotel is literally two blocks from Matsumoto castle, a great location.
