Great location, within walking distance to the castle and train station (because of luggage, we took a cab to the hotel). We stayed in a Japanese-style room which was spacious and comfortable for three of us. The staff was very nice and the breakfast solid. I would highly recommend this property.

Great staff! Friendly and very helpful. Food (in the restaurant) was awesome! The “Western” style dinner in particular … i know you’re in Japan, but the chef is great… ya gotta try while you’re there. Castle is nice. Not a lot to do in Matsumoto, but walkable. Location of Hotel is good (bread place around the corner and castle is vey close). Note: the hotel itself is not new, but it is clean.

We only stayed in this hotel for 1 night so we could visit Matsumoto Castle and the location was perfect because the hotel was only a 5 mins walk from the castle. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfy. I would stay here again for sure.

This nice hotel has both Japanese and Western style rooms. It also has a simple Japanese bath available to guest. Just a 15 minute walk to from the train station, this was a great place to stay.
