We stayed for 2 nights in Matera, the accommodation is located right on the border with the old town making easy access to and from the main tourist attractions, restaurants, supermarkets and cafes. Highlight of our stay was Michael who was extremely accommodating, helpful and kind. This made the stay very pleasant and he was always anticipating our needs, being one step ahead. Would recommend!

Great location with free off-street parking or on site parking for a fee. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Clean and spacious room with en-suite bathroom. The rooms do not have windows.

We are so lucky to have stayed here. Thank you so much to a wonderful host, this was a perfect stay. The best location for the Sassi, just on the edge so quiet and peaceful, but within seconds of the main streets of the Sassi. Private parking right outside the door available (€15 daily), incredibly easy to find. Excellent WhatsApp communication before and during stay, great recommendations for local food/drink and sightseeing. Room was beautiful and clean, with great amenities and complementary water and snacks. Upon arrival our hire car had a slow puncture in the tyre, handily he is a mechanic, and had it fixed for us within hours for €10 - the most generous and kind people, with a beautiful dog too!! There are only a few rooms, all pretty equal in terms of size and facilities, so if there is availability for your dates, do not hesitate to book this place - you won’t regret it!! Thank you for a perfect few days in Matera

Perfect location, very close to main point of interest in Matera (Sassi). The owner met us on arrival, he was a lovely guy. Explained to us on a map where we were and how to get to all the points of interest, he was so helpful and very kind. Room was great, only stayed the one night and had everything we needed. The location of the room was perfect, less than a minute to the main part of Matera. Would recommend for anyone who is planning a visit.

The room was accessible upon arrival, earlier than check in time, Michelle was excellent! He helped us by providing directions, helped with our car when it had issues and was great. The location is excellent, plenty of food options nearby and close to the city center. Non-italian breakfast options are very limited in the area, aside from that it was an excellent experience, fully recommended.

Well located, accessible by car. We were lucky that were able to park our car right in front of the property for EuR 15 per night. The owner Michelle was extremely friendly and nice. Gave us all the directions, as well as recommendations of places to go, see, and eat. A true great host. The accommodations at on the basic side, but well located to visit the old City by foot. It’s also very close to the main pedestrian area. We truly enjoyed our stay. It was a great value.

Our stay was above expectations. The host is amazingly friendly and helpful. Upon check in he provided great details regarding the area including a map and ideas about the best route and must see areas of Matera. His love of the area made it even more special. Although there is a language barrier, the use of a translation app made communicating easy, informative and so interesting. We loved the location which was easy to get to and convenient to adventure through the Sassi area. The room was well appointed. Check in and check out was easy. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat.

Perfect location for an overnight stay in Matera to explore the Sassi. Host was extremely helpful. It’s easy to find being on the edge of the new and old city. We could drive there and park the car up. 3 bedrooms with en-suite in an arch at his garage, cut into the rock. Loved Matera. A lifetime experience. Staying over is worth it, to see it all at night.

There are 4 rooms in the b&b located in a converted garage. There are no windows. The only ventilation is from open louvered vents installed between the room and the hallway. The hallway is also part of the garage and has no windows for ventilation. The hallway has a common door entrance which is always closed. Therefore this place has bad ventilation and because of the louvered vents which CANNOT BE CLOSED you hear every thing in the hallway and in the hallway they hear everything in your room. No privacy whatsoever. I think the 9.6 rating of this property is gamed and false. Be aware if selecting this garage to stay.

Great location. Hard for us to find because we were diving and didnt have wifi. Owner very nice but speaks no English. He provided maps with walking routes so that we saw everything. Once we knew where the hotel was, no problem.
