From Ravoire, people can hike, run, mountain bike, snowshoe, and go backcountry skiing directly from the house up to the summit of the Mont de L'Arpille and on to the col de La Forclaz. Ravoire has the advantage of being close to the St. Bernard Family ski resorts (Champex-Lac, Vichère-Liddes, La Fouly), as well as Les Marecottes, and the popular resorts of the Four Valleys (Verbier-Nendaz) and Chamonix (France), whilst being in a peaceful location. Access to all these resorts is within a 20-40-minute drive. Martigny town is a 15-minute drive away and offers all the shops you need, the Gianada Art Foundation, as well as easy access to the motorway for those who would like to take a day trip further afield.
