About this property
Spacious Historic Estate Home • Ideal for Families & Groups
Stines House is a spacious, historic home located on the Twin Willows estate in Mars Hill, North Carolina. Thoughtfully restored and well appointed, the home offers generous gathering spaces, comfortable accommodations, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere ideal for families, friends, and group stays year-round.
During winter months, Twin Willows is ideally located just two exits south of Hatley Pointe, which offers both downhill skiing and family-friendly snow tubing. Stines House serves as a comfortable and convenient home base for winter adventures, with plenty of space to gather, relax, and warm up after a day on the slopes.
Perfect for reunions, wedding groups, and multi-generational travel, Stines House combines the charm of a historic residence with the convenience of modern amenities. Guests enjoy the privacy of a large home while being part of a scenic mountain estate with optional access to seasonal dining, events, and outdoor amenities nearby.
Property Layout & Guest Access
Guests have exclusive access to the entire Stines House, including multiple living and gathering areas, a full kitchen, dining spaces, and sleeping accommodations across several bedrooms and bathrooms. The home is well suited for groups who want to spend time together while still having room to spread out and relax.
Outdoor areas include a courtyard adjacent to the home, as well as access to shared estate spaces such as walking areas, fire pits, and lawn games.
Estate Layout & Proximity
Stines House is part of the Twin Willows estate and is connected by a covered walkway to Cascade Cottage. The courtyard adjacent to Stines House may be visible from nearby estate areas, and guests may occasionally see or hear activity from other accommodations during daytime or early evening hours when multiple homes are rented. Quiet hours are observed across the estate, and the home remains a private, self-contained space for guests.
Optional dining and event spaces are located near the entrance of the property and are intentionally separated from Stines House to preserve a relaxed, residential atmosphere. Dining and events are seasonal and not required for guests staying at the home.
Interaction with Guests
Self check-in is provided for convenience. We are available by message if assistance is needed while respecting guest privacy. Staff may be present near the entrance of the property during food service hours or scheduled events.
