THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER.IT TURNS OUT INT

CAREFUL! !! Stay away from this place If you are lucky enough and blessed you won't stay there. Customer service sucks!! This property is in the middle of nowhere the taxi ride will cost you an arm and a leg to bring you from the airport or to take you to down town Kech. .. Avoid the tents, No Internet at all, only by the poolside next to the restaurant while you re checking your emails you ll be ordering the most expensive coke, water , tea coffee and food Their prices are much higher than 5 stars resorts That's how they get the guests Stuck there and far away from everything. ... The tents are full of bugs Plz check the attached pix I was in shock a lizard showed up inside the tent When you complain for the managers it 's not a big deal If you have dust allergies don't book your stay at this property.. Ppl should be honest abt their reviews.... Beside the beauty of the pool I don't see anything positive or anything like that Check out the pix and judge for yourselves Hotel's. Com there is no way the property will still charge me for my night of horror, nightmare ect....

This was our perfect Moroccan escape. We came away as a couple for a relaxing few days from the city and this is exactly what we got. The service was excellent from all the staff and we were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. The food is excellent and our room was lovely and peaceful. The only downside was no kettle in our room. We will definitely be returning!

Relaxing stay in a tranquil setting.

The hotel has the desired relaxed and informal atmosphere combined with a lovely pool and pool surround. i enjoyed the poolside restaurant with the selection of delicious Moroccan foods and wines.

"Rustic" get-away from Marrakech

We dropped into The Turtle out of the blue and were very nicely received, getting an upgrade because Expedia had somehow not locked down out booking. Thus, in terms of bang-for-the-buck we certainly got our share! The restaurant was very tasty--a mixture of French and Moroccan; the pool was large enough to do laps in. The one 'downside' was what The Turtle unabashedly is: a retreat from the hustle & bustle of Marrakech. Thus, rather than stay for the four nights we booked and the prospect of shuttling back and forth from the city/medina, we took the dive into town on day three, staying in a lovely intra-urban hostel, thus having our cake and eating it, too. It was a nice split.

Lovely hotel very relaxing.

Great hotel..... great setting with the atlas mountains as a back drop. It is a good distance out of marrakesh so if you intend to visit then be aware it's a 20-25 minute cab ride away. The hotel is literally miles from anything. ... fine for us that's what we wanted but there is not even a shop or resturant you can walk to so can be a bit restrictive on menu choice etc as you end up having lunch and dinner from the same menu.... like I say no problem for us its exactly what we wanted.

Great hotel

A great relaxing stay. January was a perfect time to visit as there were few others guests. I hadn't appreciated how far it was from the airport and the city centre. The transfers to and from the airport and one return trip into the city by taxi costs us nearly £100. an unavoidable cost st this location. I cannot fault the hotel though it was everything it says it is.

Gorgeous, tranquil, boutique oasis. Bliss!

My sister and I (aged ~30) stayed for three nights over New Year's Eve in one of the 'tents': the reality is that they're lovely, charismatic rooms with a tented roof. Given the time of year, it gets cool at night but we were perfectly cosy. The hotel itself is like an oasis: about 25 minutes outside the city, it's a haven to retreat to. Fresh air, beautiful grounds to wander around, immaculate and enormous swimming pool framed by the Atlas Mountains... paradise. The staff couldn't have been warmer or more helpful and the place lends itself to meeting other guests (or keeping yourself separate) as you choose. If you're looking for somewhere boutique to relax and unwind, I can't recommend it highly enough.

Beautiful oasis of calm near a busy city

Just returned home from this amazing place. Possibly the most unique and serene place I have been to for a very long time. Everything about it was excellent, from the long lazy days on the Balinese beds with the occasional dip in the breathtaking pool. to the food, service, friendliness of staff (they literally could not have done more for us!) and the colourful, comfortable tent room we were lucky enough to stay in. The room had 2 double beds and plenty of room for us 2 travellers. The bathroom area was an enclosed space in one corner, and all the decorations are rustic and traditional. The complimentary breakfast is delicious - pancake, olives, fresh bread rolls and butter, cake and freshly squeezed orange juice. Oh and top notch coffee also! They have an extensive menu of Moroccan specialities, alongside a great kiddy menu and some familiar and not-so-familiar dishes. Everything we ate there was lovely. It is a place to go and relax, you forget that you are not far from a bustling city. Manzil is completely enclosed, with the well-being of its guests as its main priority. The staff are just fab, reflecting the Moroccan way of life - full of laughter, kindness, attention to detail and nothing was too much trouble. I was made herb tea (with herbs from the garden) when I felt unwell on the last day. It really sorted me out for the trip home! You will need to get a taxi into the main city from here, but this is all arranged for you by the staff. You just have to ask :)P

Oasis

Hotel was above my expectations. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The staff were lovely. Food was nice. Gardens stunning especially the pond at the back of the swimming pool which has turtles, fish and waterlillies My children loved the swimming pool and we actually got to relax!!! Excellent base to explore Marrakech, Atlas Mountains and Eoussirra. The hotel is a little far from the centre of Marrakech (12km/20mins by car) and so need to arrange transport to drop and pick up each time you venture out of the hotel but the hotel is able to arrange this. We had a lovely time. Thank you Paula and Fouad!!

the people when they reconend a place they have to be very honest,i followed others experience and what was written about this place,was a very wrong place and location,the place is like no where in marrakech,20km away from the city,no transport at all,even when you ask a taxi to take you there,no one want to drive there,lots of rules to follow,you dont feel your on holiday by these rules from the owners of the place. i met few visiters there,all moved out and had the same problem i had there.

A hidden oasis

We specifically looked for an out of the way respite to relax after a busy time at work, and were definitely not disappointed by what we found. Spotlessly clean, humongous pool and Michelin star quality food were amongst the highlights of our week long stay and everyone we met there were equally impressed. Despite being a twenty minute drive from Marrakech, we were offered lifts into the city whenever we desired at a reasonable price and soon discovered what we had at the hotel far out-shone the hustle and bustle of the exciting yet baking hot city. I had been to Marrakech previously and stayed in three other hotels and this was by far, the best. Pascale and Andre were incredibly kind and nothing was too much trouble for them to make our stay a home from home experience (obviously on a much more luxurious level!). Staff at the hotel were friendly and were always there if you needed them despite it being quite tough for them during Ramadan. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back in the winter time when it's a bit cooler to try out their new indoor pool once finished! Thank you to Pascale, Andre, their children and their staff for making our holiday exactly what we needed :)

Personne pour nous accueillir à la réception ... à 19h toutes les lumières étaient éteintes comme si l’etablissement Était désert .... la chambre ne correspondait pas à ce que j’avais vu en ligne au moment de la réservation !!! La chambre sentait l’humidite, la salle de bain était salle, du poil trainait encore dans le lavabo !!! Il y avait des insectes dans la chambre ... et devant tous ses éléments on a décidait de partir et de ne pas passer la nuit dans cet établissement !!! Déception totale. Préparez vous à rouler sur une piste cahoteuse pendant 15 mn tout en traversant un quartier Pas rassurant du tout ...je ne recommande pas cet établissement ... je me suis fais avoir.
