Budget friendly, dated but clean

Family friendly, nice pool, great hot tub. Even a small sauna. The room was ok, obviously dated, but worth it for the price. The AC didn't work great to keep the room cool, which was only an issue for the first day or two. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Cedar Motor Inn

The Cedar Motor Inn in Marquette Michigan was a good hotel for the price. It is located close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel is dated but many upgrades were made in our room. It was clean. The continental breakfast was good. Would stay there again.

The staff is always a delight! We were on what appeared to be ‘the old side.’ The side that hasn’t been updated. The rooms were outdated, which wasn’t a deal breaker but they were very dark and the window faces the hallways so unless you like people being able to see your every move, the curtains have to stay shut. There was no clock/alarm clock, the refrigerator wasn’t plugged in but we caught it before our food spent the night in it and the bathroom door is only about 24 inches wide. Someone requiring extra room would be very uncomfortable. The bathroom ceiling had some mildew across it and the room smelled like a dog…it’s a dog friendly hotel so it’s understandable. The carpet made the bottoms of our feet black so we made sure to always wear socks or sandals.

Good place to stay

Great rooms. Overall the hotel feels a bit dated but still in good shape. Pool and hot tub were great, though there was sand in the pool that should have been cleaned out. Breakfast area is new and spacious.

Great Staff

The staff was absolutely amazing, hard working, and so friendly. The room was clean for an older outdated hotel and pet friendly. Should probably get that carpet out because we could smell the pee from a previous pet in the room. The pillows on the bed were like laying your head on a brick. Those are the only two complaints.

Clean Enough but Just Ok

On a camping and mountain biking trip with my partner and dog. We decided to stay one night in a hotel because it’s been rainy, they are dog friendly and it had a hot tub and sauna. Our check in went fine but the person ahead of us had requested a handicap accessible room but was having trouble accessing it and it didn’t seem that there was much of a solution. The sauna was broken and the attendant said she didn’t know how to make it work. It was rusty and appeared to be installed in the 1970s. The hot tub was full of children doing cannonballs into it until it closed at 10:30 pm. I’m an early riser so I was hoping to get some quiet hot tub time in the morning but it doesn’t open until 9:30. Expected the kids in the pool but was hopeful for the hot tub and sauna. Bed and bedding is what you’d expect for a cheap motel. The water pressure was pretty good so at least I got a nice hot shower.

We were going n our honeymoon and we were so impressed at this facility! Highly recommend! So Clean and you could Tell how much was poured into the renovations! Super cozy room and awesome pool/hotub and sauna!
