Room was clean,
Coffee and tea was also avaliable and clean towels, The breakfast the following morning was fantastic a great full english cooked fresh and a lovely latte, staff were very friendly.
Stayed 2 nights whilst hiking the Ridgeway and surrounding areas - a great base for getting to the amazing surrounding areas.
The pub was very friendly with a friendly welcome and a pleasant bar. There are lots of good food options in Marlborough although I ended up eating in the pub both nights as the food was very reasonably priced and very tasty and with a good selection of beers on tap.
The room was comfortable and clean although quite dated and it was quite noisy until late as it was above the bar.
The shower worked well and there was ample supply of tea bags and milk. It was easy to leave early in the morning as there is a fire escape that can be used for out of hours exit.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
Nice large recently refurbished room, comfortable bed and lovely soft pillows but the shower room was tiny and the sliding door on the bathroom was very noisy making any privacy in the middle of the night when going to the loo impossible but it was clean.
Our only real complaint and it's a big one, was the noise from the pub bar immediately beneath our room. We appreciated that there would be some noise as we were staying in a pub, however there was a karaoke evening including a DJ on the Friday night which went on until after 1am making it impossible to sleep. We were due to stay another night but given there was a band due on on the Saturday night, we decided to cut our stay short and checked out. Real shame because apart from the noise, the Lamb would have been a good place to stay but can't recommend it unless there is a rethink by the owner on what his priorities are
Very nice inn inside Marlborough village. Perfect for a week end retreat with friends. Just a bit noisy at night

The best bit about the stay was an excellent full English breakfast with superb scrambled eggs - that part gets 5 stars the rest was average other than good staff.
The bedroom was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. Breakfast was outstanding, the lady who cooked and served it was lovely. Staff were pleasant & friendly too.
The Inn was a cracking place to stay. The bed was comfy, room was warm and had a great shower. The Inn itself had a lovely wood burner on and the food offerings were well received by the other patrons. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were excellent, always smiling and up for a chat. Would definitely stay again next time I'm in the area!
