Upon arrival, there was trash leftover from the last renters that had never been picked up. Animals got to it so it was all over the entry area. I contacted the host and she didn’t get back to me until the next day. She said she would have maintenance come up but they never came. At checkout she let me know that he was sick but by that time we had cleaned up all the trash ourselves. She also informed me that there was a stink bug infestation at check in which was an understatement. There were hundreds of stink bugs and ladybugs in the house. The house was not very clean. Also, the listing shows a picture of a hot tub and we specifically booked because of the hot tub but it was turned off when I checked in. Luckily I checked right away and turned it on because it took half of our stay for the hot tub to heat up. I also emailed about that at checkout in and I never got an apology or explanation. Lastly, the porch doors don’t lock closed properly so the wind was blowing them open all night the first night. We got it rigged shut for the second night but then the fire alarm was beeping the second night with low battery so had a hard time sleeping all weekend…. This rental could have been 5 stars with better maintenance and better host.
