This mill, almost two centuries old, belonged to the ancestors of Secundino Rivera, the creators of this mill in the 19th century. Back in 1973, when it was already in Secundino's hands, forgotten and in ruin, he undertook a tedious restoration process, completing the machinery, grinding stones, gears, etc., to convert it into his personal painting studio. The mill is located, peaceful and intimate, among the woods in the secluded Villa de OBarqueiro, a tiny picturesque fishing port, firmly at the sea entrance to the Ría Sor, still vigilant at the maritime entrance to the Northern Seas.

An original construction of thick, solid stone walls, with its handcrafted wooden dome, pierced by its axes and solid chestnut beams, offers us a unique vision of an archaeological experience, modernized to the comfort of our times for very personal stays.
