There are two restaurants (Japanese, Filipino) to serve you fresh to order sit-down meals for breakfast, instead of the usual buffet. I thought that would be good (I hate buffets). But oddly, I missed the buffet. The menu at both restaurants is extremely limited and the portions of protein are small. Plus the drink selection is terrible. Example. One gives you coffee or orange juice. But what if you don't drink coffee and they are out of orange juice? (happened) The room was large but oddly it was poorly maintained. The bathroom in particular was small, but it could have been a nice small bathroom if it was properly maintained. Four issues: 1) Roaches (yeah...in the bathroom?) 2) Toilet lid broken. could still be used, but this is so cheap and easy...why was it not fixed???) 3) Inside bathroom, shower door was broken. They put up a shower rod and curtain, I think as a temporary fix. But the bathroom was flooded when taking a shower. So it's not even a good temporary fix. 4) The shower control is almost impossible. There is a large lever easy to lift, but that does not control the shower. BEHIND THAT with no room to get your fingers in, there is a small slippery knob that requires about 99 pounds of torque to turn. THAT is the shower control. Every time we took a shower it was a major hassle just turning it on and off. Final problem, dry air made us sick. Humidifiers in hallway don't help when you don't sleep in the hallway.

The Spere is close to shopping malls and not to far from the airport. The staff are beyond reproach, warm and very friendly. The cleaning staff are superlative. I love how the room has own kitchenette and table for 2 And the staff are all friendly except for one at the front when I was about to check out.For me she's a bit rude because she just served the first guest before me and the guest was still in front of her and she stared yelling at me for the key card.How can I give it to her if her guest was still in front of her.So I told her just to wait, by that time the guest already left , but I was still getting the reciept for refund from my daugther.I hope she doesn't do that to other guest.
