Everything was pretty nice, except coffee maker was empty all week of vanilla, fitness room had a smoke alarm beeping for a couple days. Staff was amazing.

The toilet in my room would run forever after flushing. Each time I had to take the cover off and fix the flapper. The toilet also leaked water all over the floor, which I didn’t notice until the second time I went in and was standing in water. I used all of the towels in the room to soak up the water. The towels were among the thinnest I have ever seen, I’ve used paper towels that are thicker! The shower had terrific water pressure, but as much came out of the handle area as the showerhead. Despite being turned off the temperature control unit cycled on all night, long with a loud humming noise. My understanding was that the property had Wi-Fi, but I was not given a password and none of my devices found any network to join. The check in staff were efficient and friendly, but that was the last good thing that happened.

We had a great stay overall! The beds were incredibly comfortable and gave us a great night’s sleep. The breakfast was a nice bonus — a couple of options and good quality, though the waffle maker could use a little attention. There was no nonstick spray available, so waffles kept getting stuck, and the machine seemed to have temperature issues. I saw several guests try to make waffles, only to have them stick and end up throwing them away. One small downside was that we could hear the people above us walking around at times. That said, the price was great for what we got, and I’d definitely stay here again

Parkwood Inn and Suites was a nice surprise! It was clean, well maintained and tastefully appointed. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The price, comparatively, was quite reasonable. In fact, the top-flight hotels in Manhattan experienced (in the past) by this reviewer offered little more than this hotel and cost a lot more. The breakfast was so-so, although the potatoes served were very tasty! I would be happy to stay at the Parkwood Inn again.

I am handicap and must have a handicapped room. When we checked in, I verified that we had a handicapped room. The guy said just a minute he looked at the computer came back said Yep you have a handicap room. Needless to say it was not. We were so tired that we just went to bed and got up and left the next morning as soon as possible. When I told the lady as we were checking out the next day, she said they had plenty of handicap room. She has no idea why he did not. Give me one.

Quite possibly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Not only did the air conditioning break in my room but my dog was alone for four hours in 90° temperatures. Then they moved me to another room that was equally as hot. I asked to speak to the manager the manager refused to refund me or provide any sort of offer to make things right. The only option was to move to yet another room. Absolutely inexcusable. Never. I repeat never will I ever stay at that hotel again. Choose another place to stay in Manhattan if you value A/C & comfort.
