We recently stayed at this hotel largely due to its close proximity to the Christmas market and our desire to enjoy the swimming pool and spa facilities. Given the cost of the room, I felt compelled to write a review. We had a family room, and check-in was prompt. The room was clean and of decent size, featuring a powerful, hot shower that was a delight. The bed was comfortable, and my son was happy with the sofa bed. Temperature controls in the room worked well, and noise levels were low, contributing to a good night’s sleep. Albeit, there were no extra pillows readily available. We only had two English teabags in the room, and as tea lovers, we had to request additional bags, which the staff provided promptly. We also found only one teaspoon available and had to retrieve another from the dining room. Breakfast was excellent, with a lovely selection of hot and cold foods. The staff were helpful and responsive throughout our stay. Overall, we had a good experience. However, given the price, I expected a few more amenities: two teaspoons in the room, more than two teabags of English tea, spare pillows, and bathrobes, especially since guests may visit the spa. My wife use the Sauna & she found the sauna temperature warm not hot, she enjoyed the temperature of the steam room.

It was all fine but not worth what we paid. Had to ask for more pillows as only 1 provided per person. This seemed a chore for the person who brought them- they also only brought 2 when there were 3 of us in the room. When I pointed this out and asked for the other pillow it was clear I was an inconvenience.

Location is great and room is nice, but wasn't particularly clean and the heating didn't work in our room so it was freezing in the middle of winter. As we'd arrived back late at night we just had to put up with it, and then when showering in the morning the toiletries in the bathroom hadn't been refilled. The shop is also ridiculously priced - about £7 for a packet of biscuits!

Bit of mix up when we arrived. Got told room was ready. Went to room it was upside down not ready. But a member of front of house there. Kindly got us a different room and a free drink. I thought 50% off parking was great too. Restaurant menu was not good couldn’t eat any of it. A normal beef burger would go a long way.

Stayed two nights - the lack of space to put clothes for three people was frustrating. There were no drawers and the rail to hold about 5 items was nowhere near enough. Tea & coffee wasn't stocked very well in the room. Did like that it had a fridge and this turned out to be very useful.
