Perfect location to stay before flight out of Manchester, great location with free shuttle to airport. Room and bathroom were are spotlessly clean with very comfy beds, restaurant and bar relaxing with good food options, staff are helpful and efficient, will always be first choice for me when departing from Manchester

Really glad we chose to stay here the night before an early flight. Very comfortable room and surprisingly quiet for so close to the airport. Efficient shuttle bus system both from the station and to the airport. We enjoyed a good meal in the restaurant too.

The room did not have enough light. Both the lights at the side of the bed and the lamp on the desk had very low wattage bulbs in them, it was hard to even read (!) and there was no lamp at all on the round table near the window. The window was small, but this is usual for hotels in the UK. The shuttle to-and-from the aeroport terminals and railway station in theory ran every 20 minutes, but in practice, was highly variable with Reception being unable to say when the next one would be leaving the hotel. I used it several times over a three-day stay, the shortest time from/to the hotel was 10 minutes, the longest 50 minutes, this being the amount of time you should allow to get to the aeroport. When comming from a terminal or train station to the hotel, it is best to call reception to let them know that you are there. To be fair, a lot of the problem was due to traffic and not the hotel's fault, and the driver's were always friendly and informative. On the upside, the staff were helpful and friendly.

Didn’t have breakfast due to early flight . Bar food the night before was great as was our waitress full marks to her . The room allocated was very tired would have preferred one in the newer part. Ask for room with shower not bath

Got to train station, rang the clayton within 10 mins a courtesy bus arrived to pick us up, really nice guys who showed us when we got there how to check in. Nice room, very clean, only thing was people above us were very noisy, moving chairs around it dounded like but that wasnt the hotels fault, said we could have been offered an upgrade which we didnt get, also supposed to be 20% off food but we didnt have any as it was lateish when we got there.

Bathroom door broken at bottom. To didn’t work .Heating didn’t work. Had to be transferred to another room but heating still didn’t work so were given an electric heater. However staff were great. Feel sorry for them working in such a neglected hotel.

Very convenient. Lovely breakfast. The courtesy bus was great to collect us from the airport. Please bear in mind that if you are taking the courtesy bus to the airport , we were overwhelmed by the amount of time it took to get back to the airport in the morning as the traffic was very heavy- allow an extra 30-60 mins to get to the airport!

Just an overnight stay for an early flight next morning. The room was clean and in really good condition. The bathroom was fine but the sink waste could use a clean/deodorise. The staff are always nice and the free shuttle to the terminals gets me to return every time.
