The rooms are kind of small to move around. The first room had a dent on the wall. The second room, #11 was better but the AC leaked. Those were the rooms on the quiet area or older part of the hotel. The quietness and chairs feel good, but we had water outage right in New Year… had to wait to shower… finally they moved us to the new part of the hotel. No water outage there, but we saw some running roaches, though we saw some kind of powder sprinkled in the drawers and room corners to control that issue. The employees were always very kind, respectful and accommodating. The swimming pool area, plants, music and lighting is the plus of Hotel Mozonte. The rooms need work out.

When we got there we were assigned a room with a faulty mattress, staff suggested to fix the problem by turning it over. We requested a change of room since we would be staying there for a week and my husband gets back pains. The new room had doors that wouldn't work, we had to manuever to get them to close and there was no hot water. The breakfast being offered was terrible and cold! Their no outside food or drinks policy is ridiculous as their prices are inflated and the breakfast they offer is really bad! The hotel has two pools, the one located accross the street from the main location and front desk does not get maintained as well as the one in the main building. It was dirty and soapy. Staff was mostly nice, however they would argue among them in front of guests. I will not be choosing this hotel again.

We have stayed twice at the Mozonte. The first time it was just my wife and we had a nice pleasant stay. The second time we took our 3 children. When we got there at around 1pm, there appeared to be some confusion as to which room to put us in for the price quoted. This made us late for our appointment. So our room was shuffled and we were put beside the storeroom (couple of small cockroaches, normal for Nicaragua), the air conditioning had only one speed and temperature and pointed directly down onto our bed, large “water??” stain on upper bunk bed, soap dispenser didn’t work, little water from shower and the pool was under maintenance for the whole stay. Also, the breakfast buffet was almost empty at around 8:30. “Most” of the staff are super friendly and helpful. So in conclusion, my wife heard the owner speaking with one of the supervisors and they all agreed that the hotel was understaffed. You could tell that they were all tired. So I can’t really be too upset because I think that they recognized the issue and will resolve the problem Let’s see next time. We come to Managua often for medical therapy in Bolognia PS- This review is only for the Mozonte and not for publication on the website because I believe that the management are resolving the issues without the need to cause further embarrassment to the establishment.
