The staff were lovely and very accommodating. The first room was by a rather busy road but they kindly moved us to a better, quieter room. Our room had a hot tub which was clean and lovely and warm. The breakfasts were good with a nice variety of hot and cold choices. We would certainly recommend this hotel and go back again. .

The staff were brilliant they always help and patient about the room its clean we had issues with our hotel room door it did not open easily when you swipe the card and ironing board did not have legs on it so its just small ironing board that I hade to put on chair for me to iron my close.

The property is more like a small village complex than a hotel, with pathways linking the apartments to the main areas, bar, pool etc. It is so tranquil, a really lovely place to stay. The beach is a few minutes away, but we mostly stayed around the hotel. The staff are all very friendly and multilingual. The food was excellent and I’d recommend the buffet breakfast, it really set me up for the day.

The rooms were clean and well-equipped, and the overall ambiance was perfect for a great vacation. A special mention goes to Despina, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. She truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and her warm hospitality made a huge difference. The rest of the staff was also very friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with anything we needed. Nearby shops, amenities, etc. Didn't like: Lack of dining table in room if we wanted to eat in. Gym room and equipment in disrepair and dirty. First time in Crete. We really liked it, and the staff at Malena contributed to our enjoyment. Would go back to this hotel but, in all honesty, there's so much more to explore on the island and, to see the things we like, we'd base ourselves to the east or south of the island.
