Great hotel close to city centre

We arrived late to Malaga airport and had a one night family stay in Malaga for onward travel next afternoon. Sercotel Rosaleda was an excellent choice for us. Located in the outskirts of town, but closer to the airport so easy to get to from the airport. The rooms are modern and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and breakfast was very good. It is a EUR 5 taxi ride in to central Malaga which means the hotel cost is very attractive compared to more central locations where the room charges are higher. The rooms were quiet/ soundproof and there were blackout curtains. Breakfast served until 11 and checkout at 12. I can really recommend this hotel for a good nights sleep and close to the city centre.

Property is lovely. Paid for breakfast at the beginning of the trip. Unless you sit down to be served they wont let you have any breakfast food.

The hotel was perfect for my trip, it was very clean throughout and all staff were friendly. I paid for the breakfast, and it was nice enough - nothing to shout about but good enough to set me up for the day. The hotel is linked to a shopping centre so good for a quick look around or to pop into the supermarket. My only issue was that it said the pool was open April - October and to me this would mean that visiting in October it would be available to use and was the reason I picked this hotel. However, the pool was actually closed, with all the sun loungers locked away

Terrible and misleading - a joke. AVOID!

Terrible and misleading hotel. on arrival there were no towels in the room and no coffee and tea supplies - housekeeping errors. when i was at reception asking for towels several other people were also complaining so this wasnt an isolated error. the staff were not very friendly. then i visited the gym - its terrible, much smaller than photo suggest due to the full wall mirror in the room. the weights machine is very bad quality and unsafe. limited free weights and the rowing machine is pathetic- only uses your own body weight and has little resistance. the cheapest equipment. then i visited the “pool” - what a bad joke, its a paddling pool for kids!! 50cm deep!! also the other photos are fake, very very bad. finally the distance to town or beach is misquoted unless the car is breaking the speed limit! overall a pathetic attempt at a hotel. i checked out and found a brilliant substitute for less money - avoid this hotel

The hotel is clean and the rooms functional but with no frills. What let's it down is the rooftop, it looks nowhere near what the pictures suggest. Grossly lacking enough seating / loungers so lots of people were on the floor. The location is also out of the main centre, it takes around 25 mins to reach the centre limits although plenty of taxi options. Overall it's not dreadful but just a bit meh. We wouldn't stay here again if in Malaga.

The hotel is nice, residential area but only a 30 minute walk to centre or east access to bus just in front. Adjacent to mall. The bid disappointment is the pool. Very shallow, barely 2 feet of water. Do not choose this hotel for pool. Otherwise fine if you want to be out of the centre.
